This is a hidden gem. We went there with family for lunch today and all the dishes were excellent. Portions are huge. The bread is scrumptious. The calamari is one of the best we’ve ever had anywhere in the world (as well as the yummy marinara sauce they served with it). We will be back next time we’re in town!

BEST Pasta de Fagioli Soup ever! Comes with a tray of fresh, warm buttered rolls. My husband ordered a Chicken Parmesan Sub and it was HUGE! A foot-long toasted sub with lightly crusted strips of chicken topped with melted cheese and tasty marinara. Comes with a hefty side of lighty seasoned steak fries. He loved it but could only eat half of it as it was so BIG! The pastries are so popular, get there early as it’s first come – first served. Sadly, we missed out on the tarts & Danish cheese at 11 am. Excellent Café! Excellent service! Excellent food!

We’re just visiting the town and decided to grab some sweets from Pietro’s Bakery. Inside is well organized and has an Italian cafe vibe. Staff was very friendly and greeted us right away. After going over their menu we bought some cannoli and German cake. Overall, desserts were delicious. However, cannoli stuffing cream was a bit different than what we normally find in NYC (back home). It wasn’t all that bad, it just felt different. I think it was a mixture of whipped cream with ricotta cheese which made the stuffing cream taste unusually fatty for us. Otherwise, the shells themselves were exactly like what we get in New York City. Additionally, we noticed their prices were on a higher side as well. All in all it was a positive experience and we may try their other products in near future.
