We came right after work on a Thursday and it was not busy. The man serving us, Kenyi, was awesome. We have had ceviche all over the country and this was the best we’ve ever had. Additionally, we decided to be adventurous and try the anticuchos. It is described on the menu as beef heart marinated in red wine vinegar, red hot peppers, garlic and a host of other exotic spices for 8 hours, then grilled. If you enjoy beef, you must try this. It was amazing. The mixto ceviche is what we ordered for our main dish and it was perfect. We asked Kenyi for spicy. It was flavorful, spicy, and delicious. Calamari, fish, shrimp, and a couple muscles in the shell came in a bowl with a slice of yam and hominy on the side. If you want to experience traditional Peruvian food, this is where you want to go when you’re in Sarasota, FL. Thank you Kenyi and Peru 941.

We were spending the day at the beach nearby and saw this restaurant online. I immediately knew it was going to be amazing! Definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area. We had Chicha morada, natural passion fruit juice, leche de Tigre appetizer, a pescado a lo macho and a Parihuela. Everything was delicious and our server was so nice and friendly, he would answer any questions and give us pointers about the different fish we could use when we make any fish dish at home. I’d like to say he was the owner, but I’m not 100% sure. The restaurant is also very pretty, cozy and nice to dine in.

First time here tonight. I have been to Peru and eat Peruvian often. First of all the service is excellent. Ken, our server was very helpful and made us comfortable. The place has only been open ten months and has yet to get a full liquor license – so no pisco sour but we did get beer and wine. I had the lomo saltado and with our server’s recommendation I got it with Tacu Tacu which is rice and beans mashed together and pan fried. It was a little too rich for me. Next time I will stick with the classic fries and white rice. The steak had way too much sauce on it. It’s a different variation than in Peru. Tab came to $66. Will come again and try other dishes.

Native Peruvian here! This place hit the mark. This is a Peruvian restaurant that sticks with the more traditional style that reminds me of home. The portion sizes and attention to ingredients is a priority according to the owner, and it shows! Reminded me of home. The fish ceviche is on point!

Not sure how this place is so highly rate.. most bland latin food I have ever eaten. Even “La granja” which is the fast food version of Peruvian food is better than this. Its not bad, but certainly not top rated or a good specimen for Peruvian Cuisine. Looks clean and new

Got (lucky) last minute reservations for a Saturday night before the comedy club meal with friends. Had zero knowledge of the place beforehand so it was a bit of a gamble … what a stroke of luck, indeed. From the moment we walked through the door, we were treated with great courtesy and concern that our experience be wonderful…and it WAS!
