We own a home here and live here half the year. I for some reason spent the last 20 years never having visited this place and it’s a huge regret!!! There is a popular Mexican restaurant in town that’s a tourist trap with awful food so I’m 1000% grateful for Peña’s. We go at least 2-3 times a month. I’ve never had one thing bad. I didn’t live the pancakes but the buckwheat was just different for me personally. I usually get the combo platter and they seriously have the best chili relleno ever. The green sauce is more of a tomatillo instead of hatch green which I appreciate because I do not do heat. Hubs like green too but prefers spicy hatch. The red sauce you can ask for extra heat. Unsure if you can with green. Chips are fresh and handmade. Salsa delicious. The waitress is the best. Chef’s been there for decades so it’s always consistent. It’s tiny inside but so have outside when seasonal. May have to wait. But worth it. Please not hours are early. Usually closes at 3pm.

Food Was Good and Fresh! Not the Best Flavors On The Dishes. They were Good Overall but Not Great! The Huevos Rancheros Were Good But Needed More Hot Kick Definitely. I Ordered a Dide Of Cubed Pappas(Potatoes ), The Potatoes Weren’t Seasoned at All (Needs Seasoning). Rice and Beans Fell Flat. The Shrimp and Crab Enchiladas Were Good and Fresh But Sauce Did Lack A Little On The Flavor. It’s Like Eating In Someone’s Grandma’s Backyard! It Was Kool, I’d Go Back and It’s A Good Little Quick Bite To Eat! 3.5 Overall!!

We absolutely adore all things at Peña’s!! Our favs are the red/green huevos and the eggs Benny. But we have eaten Jimmy’s burgers, steaks and most everything. Yea we love the red & green sauce the best!! I was raised on hot red and green chile but I’m not able to eat the really hot so I’m just a happy camper to eat Jimmy Peña’s sauce on my enchiladas!! I only wish I had his recipe!!! Always a good time at Peña’s!!

Went to this place specifically because it has an outdoor patio that allows dogs. Waitress refused to serve us outside because “It’s cold and we have to keep opening the door, but you can come and get your order yourself.” Every time I went into place my order, get my food and pay, I got ugly looks. The best thing about this place is their jamaica. Probably won’t be going back.

Great service, and great good! Small restaurant with friendly staff. Mexican style restaurant, great for breakfast, delicious tortillas on the side. The food is not very spicy, so it’s family friendly for the non spicy eaters in your group. The staff was super attentive and all wore masks.

Went there for breakfast with friends. The breakfast was good and the service was prompt and friendly. The eggs Benedict was the favorite and are only served on the weekend. Go early because there is usually a wait and they do run out.
