Absolutely love their burgers from the Post Falls location but I hardly doubt other locations suck! Always greeted with smiling faces when I approach the counter to order very very rare it is that any employee is straight faced, I know “put on a happy face” is part of the working with the public persona but a happy atmosphere at this establishment is exactly why I keep returning!!!! Oh yeah, not to mention the burgers……….. ABSOLUTELY DANK!!
And one more thing, the shakes………. If your a shake freak like myself avoid this place at all cost (Just kidding). They make them the exact way you order them and made with absolutely real ice cream, not that fake nastiness from the huge burger chains. Like I haven’t gloated about Paul Bunyon enough…….. The parking lot is so easy to navigate also! Just give them just one try, you won’t regret it trust me!

This review is mixed and takes into consideration the low cost. Fried pickles were excellent but the burger patty was very thin and lacked flavor. Styrofoam cups downgraded the experience some. Overall the food quality and experience aligned well with the less than $7 meal price. The venue offered a 30-year throwback vibe. Friendly customer service.

I usually go to the Hayden location but was in Post Falls so I thought I’d grab 2 orders of fried pickle chips for my son and I. Each order was more like half an order, they were BARELY done because after only 3 I tasted batter mix and the fry sauce tasted mostly like ketchup. I spit out the last icky raw batter covered pickle because it was SOOO DISGUSTING!!! I’M NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN!!!! There’s a TOTAL LACK OF QUALITY CONTROL AND I’LL NEVER TRUST THIS LOCATION AGAIN!!!!! My son FULLY felt the same!! 2 orders that barely totalled the size of 1, raw/barely fried and “fry sauce” that was 90% ketchup! Save your money and go somewhere that ACTUALLY gives you something you can eat!!!!

First time I’ve eaten at any Bunyan’s, and ill definitely go back. Burger was great, fries were good (not too salted as so many are these days), milkshake was delicious, and their tarter sauce was amazing! Tarter sauce is like no other. It’s the small things, employees were very nice, and joking around having a good time, which I like to see. That means they enjoy their job. Absolutely recommend this place for anyone! Can’t wait to go back.

My husband and I are from this area and moved to Boise in 2013. We visit rarely but everytime we come to this area we HAVE to get a paul bunyan burger. There is nothing like a paul bunyan burger in our eyes the taste is a very unique amazing flavor that for some reason only they have. We have searched high and low all over Boise for an amazing burger but nothing compares to the holy grail. The Onion rings are real onion layers that are amazing! Hard to find. Paul bunyan just knows what the people want! If you ever come here and want the best burger ever this is the place to go! Now I just have to figure out how to get them to build a location in Boise!

i ordered a small pumpkin shake and it was so unbelievably nasty, i’m a huge pumpkin fan normally and it tasted like nasty baby food. like a natural pumpkin. i went up to the drive thru to see about a refund because it tasted absolutely disgusting and they said there was nothing they could do about it? i said it tasted like canned pumpkin and she said she can’t refund it because it’s what we ordered was canned pumpkin? like what ? i ordered a PUMPKIN SHAKE. it never said it was canned pumpkin i was expecting a pumpkin flavored shake not actual canned pumpkin. definitely lost a customer. this was absolutely atrocious customer service. do not reccomend!! don’t waste your money coming here. we had the manager come out to try and resolve this and she argued with us, had the worst customer service and had a nasty attitude, came out with a body cam and was recording us, acting like it was inconvenient to do her job and completely was just overall disrespectful and acted disgusting. i will never ever be coming back here, 11 $ for crappy small shakes is crazy!! she said how she isn’t a big business and shouldn’t be out of her money but like as if we should?! acted like she came down here on her “day off” to talk to us and how she “shouldn’t have to do that” when her own employee said she was already on her way here to pick something up and would have her come out? her own employee had the idea not us. that’s absolutely crazy! normally pumpkin shakes have pumpkin flavoring not actual canned pumpkin, they should disclose that because that is so uncommon and nasty nowadays!

Whoever the lady Manager is needs to be checked and trained on customer service and how to be a decent manager. Especially when you have young kids working for you when your 35 or 40. Their speaker ordering system is from the 50’s, you can barely understand anything both ways. There is no screen to make sure the order is correct. I ordered my go to which is a double bacon cheese well done an plain. The kid reads thr order back, I dont hear anything different. I get the food an receipt, they charged me .50 for Logger Style and put everything on my burger. We also had asked for fry sauce since we ordered 2 fries an a tot. We go back in the manager tells us we have to pay for sauce till I said we ordered fries an tots then she asks the kid if we asked for sauce, he said no even though we deff did. I tell him about my burger, the manager doesn’t say a word to me but asks the kid if he read it back he said yes, I said noone said logger style at anytime. I said I didnt care about the .50 I didnt want the extra burger. I just wanted my normal burger. The manager never said anything to me. She called the kid in the back an scolded him or told him I was lieing, im not sure, but she needs a new job. Hey BOB, upgrade your ordering system cheapskate, and get a new manager who is friendly, respectful, and knows what GOOD customer service is. Most of the negative reviews for your place is about HER. Please fix it. We will not be going back. Give the kids raises who have to deal with her as well.
