This restaurant has a nice atmosphere, with cozy lighting and comfortable seating. The service is friendly and attentive, and the menu offers a variety of French-inspired cuisine. I recommend the duck breast in a marsala wine sauce and shrimp and Andouille sausage. We also loved their matcha creme brûlée. The prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. Paramount Grill is a wonderful spot in Gainesville for a date night, a family dinner, or a casual lunch with friends.

It was 20 minutes to closing time but they took us in. We were so grateful because we had our hearts set on eating at the Paramount since it had come so highly recommended. I had such a delicious salad, my mouth and tastebuds were doing the happy dance! They salad extra goodies like fresh berries, pecans, and apple. What sent this salad into another galaxy was the raspberry vinaigrette dressing. My friend had the crab cakes and salad. The crab cakes were loaded with real crab and perfectly seasoned. Our service was excellent, the place is spotless and pleasant.

Quiet little spot. Nothing flashy but cozy. Wait staff is very friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. The decor is out dated but still very clean. This place was suggested as “fine dining” so that is the only reason I gave a 4 star. This place is casual with a great menu.

I’m ashamed to say I’ve lived in Gainesville a very long time and this was my first trip to Paramount Grill. I’ve always heard great things and it certainly lives up to their reputation. Delicious pesto chicken salad sandwich for me, full of flavor, not a crumb left on my plate! My fellow diners were all very satisfied as well.

Delightful restaurant! We went first time last night and were VERY pleased. Our waitress was very attentive and had a really positive attitude. She seemed to anticipate our needs. She first brought these two little muffins which were SO light and fluffy, with this incredible spread. I try and stay away from breads …. but I DARE anyone to nibble on one of these and NOT eat the whole thing! We had a few appetizers. The Fondue is a MUST. Served with chicken mushrooms and their lightly toasted bread, is just WOW. Similar to a Humus but much better. We also had the crab cakes that were very delicate. We found that dipped into the Fondue was even better. I had the Duck for dinner and wife had the Mussels. Duck was OK but the pasta it was served with was absolutely incredible (spices). We had the chocolate creme Brulee for dessert with two very, very good decaf Cappuccinos! Another thing, the road is blocked in front so you need to park in the garage a block away. $6 extra but no big deal. Also this restaurant is nestled right between some roadie bars, which also didn’t bother us because these two issues keep the place from getting packed! We got in with an online reservation without a problem. Prices very fair. Whole dinner was like $100 without tip (We DID tip!). Absolutely positively will be going back!

A Small and delightful restaurant. We had the fondue with chicken, mushrooms and bread. It was shared among 3 people and it was generous, hot and delicious. We ordered two different salads. Both were fresh, great dressing and a nice size. There were two orders of filet. ($41). Again , cooked as ordered and a nice size. The sides were delicious including fresh asparagus. I had the shrimp and lobster with spinach and spinach spaghetti. It was filled with actual cloves of garlic. It was buttery and delicious. Our server was Jessica and she was attentive and explained everything. It made for the perfect Christmas Eve.

The restaurant isn’t too crowded for lunch but it’s a great deal for the level of food. The flavors were amazing and we were surprised by the amount of food that came out. Everyone had to take home leftovers. They have lots of seasonal items and daily specials with lots of in house made touches to the food.

Was here on February 26th with a 6 person party for their brunch. They have about 6 menu options for brunch. It took about 60 minutes for our food to be brought to us after we ordered as well as forgetting a side of eggs. The restaurant was obviously not able to serve more then 4 at time or handle more then half their dining capacity. The waitress told us in a perfect world we would’ve gotten our food in a timely manner and that it wasn’t her fault she had to wait on a 6 person table. The manager/owner apologized for the waitress and removed the automatic 18% tip for parties of 6 or more. The service was pretty bad. But the food was excellent that’s the reason for two stars instead of one. Also as I stated they auto tip the bill with a party of 6 or more rather then 8 as is more the norm. Good food but poor service and possibly a smaller kitchen then can keep up with orders.
