I made my order of potato soup with no bacon on top
Because I wasn’t feeling well from tooth surgery. I asked the young lady if it could be brought to my table because I wasn’t stable enough to go pick it up. When Tony brought it to my table and I told him I ask it for no bacon on top, because I just had some oral surgery he gave me major attitude and told me, well, there’s bacon inside the soup. I said, I understand that, but what’s inside the soup is soft. On top it’s not. I said and I also ordered bread and still in his arrogant attitude said, well, what kind of bread it doesn’t say anything on the ticket. The ticket doesn’t say anything about that or the bacon making it problem my problem. I couldn’t remember the name of the bread so he just started yelling all these different types, and I said, sir, it’s the one on the top shelf in the middle, but I literally then had to get up off of the chair and walk over and point at the bread that I wanted. He then takes the soup back to the kitchen and brings like it was a big deal. He brings me one without bacon on top and the sliced bread that I could eat because it was soft. Of course there was no knife for the butter, but I bothered not asking because I didn’t want more attitude. Then, when I asked for the manager, I found out it was him. When I ask him why he had to be so abrupt and had an attitude about delivering my food to me, he really literally confronted me about how he didn’t have an attitude, i’m making a big deal about nothing. If this is a customer’s service that you give in your establishments, I will certainly not be returning nor should Tony be in a managerial position, to what I find to be a lovely restaurant that I haven’t been to in fifteen years, there’s not one near me. I hope you take this seriously! Tony should not be in this position. I don’t think he was happy that he had to bring my soup to me instead of me coming up to pick it up.Because my goodness, let’s not put anybody out of their way for customer service to somebody that was in need for the moment. I will also be calling your corporate office because I do reviews. Great way to ruin somebody’s meal, when they’re already feeling horrible from anesthesias and pain. Where is the compassion and the empathy in humans these days. Also, when I asked the girls behind the counter, who that guy was, they didn’t want to tell me and I said, you can tell me his name because I will find out either way, and she said, I don’t think we’re supposed to. I wouldn’t even give you one star for the awful way I was treated.

So i’m pleased to say I now have something new that I will definitely order again. Her name was Haley i hope panera realizes what an excellent employee they have with her. She appears to love her job.
Makes you feel like she cares about the customers.
And appears with the description of the food and her help to love panera herself. It was refreshing to have someone take such a positive ownership in their job and I will definitely be back. Thank you Haley for making me feel very welcomed you are a gem.
Then i get back to the office and a sandwich is missing. 15 minute drive back. My sandwich is hot and I had a hot soup. Had to wait an additional 8 minutes and STill NO COOKIE COMPENSATION. ;(
Customer Service was extremely poor. Not friendly. And, they didn’t even apologize.
They didn’t have an item I ordered and the customer service was out of this world. First I got an apology and then Tony worked with my kid to find something comparable that my kid liked. Just incredible customer service, efficiency and kindness. Tony is an asset to this brand!
