Good, fresh food but nothing I would recommend. We are front Portland OR and found the dishes good but not exceptional and a bit pricey. The wait staff was friendly and attentive but the food took quite a while to come out. The mole was only so-so and the trout was difficult to eat through the skin and bone. The tacos were the best part of the meal. Not very wheel chair accessible, sorry. The one room got loud as it filled up. We went on a Friday night.

Amazing rice and beans and tortillas! But the rest was too salty and the Mezcalita was like 80% ICE couldn’t really enjoy the flavors. Skip the Flan: it was soooo sweet Didn’t expect that, especially that heavy sweet caramel sauce – like why. Got 1 salad, 1 entree, 3 sides, dessert and a drink and the bill was $120. Kind of standard in Seattle I guess but wish we left thinking it had been spent well but didn’t feel that. Staff was awkward. And again this is Seattle so staff usually is awkward but it’s a small space with a creaky feeling to it so the staff can temper that by being a bit more lively…

This review is specifically for the Pancita residency at Pair (most of the reviews are for Pair’s regular menu). The food is so comforting and phenomenal. Chef Janet is really creating an amazing culinary moment here in Seattle. The tostadas were tasty and well seasoned. You can taste how the different sauces and salsas are paired intentionally with the proteins. Tried most of the menu and it was all delicious. I wish I could buy the horchata by the jug. Please keep it up and i’m exciting to come back a few more times before the residency ends in August.

Glad to hear Pancita will be permanent at the pair location. Best Mexican food I’ve had in Seattle. Fresh, new flavors. Hope to see them update the decor since Pancita will be staying to a while.

Every single dish and drink we had was outstanding. Excellent preparation and flavor profiles. It’s rare to have such a consistently positive dining experience as we had at Pancita at Pair. I hope their residency continues long term!

Beautiful space, incredible service, impeccable food. Elevated doesn’t begin to describe it. The flavors were stunning, and everything was perfectly balanced. Best meal I’ve had in a long time.

The food at Pancita at Pair is exceptional! Very tasty and well prepared and you can choose among many menu options. I love the service at the place. My server was fantastic, but the real treat was the young man on the floor. He seemed to be playing host, busser, and expo! He also took the time to explain some of the dishes and how they’re prepared. For dessert, he recommended the flourless chocolate cake with flan. Wow. Absolutely amazing. Thanks, Alex! I highly recommend this place.

Meghna, the bartender, was so sweet! As the evening got busier, she still took time to check on us, talk about the menu, and tell us about the plans for Pancita! She was so thoughtful making drinks. The bright windows, decor, seating, and food are perfect for summer.

Very happy that I tried this place with my husband and would definitely come back. It’s a small but cute restaurant with a very relaxing vibe. Friendly service and plates came out at a good pace. We ordered the crab popovers (recommend), roasted cauliflower, olives, tater tots (recommend) and pan fried gnochi (recommend). All the dishes were well done! They don’t take reservations so plan accordingly as it gets very busy.
