Dinner was so flavorful and unique! The molasses sweet potatoes were great. The pork burger itself was a little dry but the overall flavor with the toppings was very good.

Oh my! How is it that we’ve never been here before? Wanted a light lunch and we were going to Mast so we stopped in because Over Yonder is across the street. It was a gorgeous day to sit on the porch of this lovely historic home. My husband got a wonderful broccoli and mushroom soup and I loved my veggie plate. Made me want to come right back and sample everything. Check out the view of the lovely mountains from the porch.

What a wonderful find for dinner. This restaurant is across from the original Mast General Store in Valle Crucis. It is located in an old home an had lots of charm. Cecilia was our waitress and did an excellent job (as well as the whole team). We started with the okra which was unique and delicious, had the soup special, sourdough bread, and split the chicken fried chicken which was great. Of all the restaurants, we found the Tea (sweet or unsweetened)to be the best we ever experienced. Had lots of meals on our mountain visit but this may have been our favorite. Highly recommend Over Yonder!!

I do not have enough words to express how incredible our experience was with Over Yonder. Justin was a HUGE blessing to us as we were planning our son’s rehearsal dinner all the way from Mississippi!! He was attentive to every detail and made a lot of accommodations for us AND with a kind generous heart. Then for our time there, everyone from the time we enter the door was kind and ready to serve. there were so many options to choose from. The house has many art pieces to look at and available for sale. The start are all so friendly and knowledgeable. The team definitely seems like a family and helps eachother out. There are merch for sale also alson with select wines. We got the steak with broccoli and rosmary chips. It was cooked perfectly and tasted so devine. The peach cobbler was like no other I have ever tasted. It was so well made and the icecream was vanilla bean and was really tasty also. Would highly reccomend going to this beautiful restaurant that is located is a very cute town.

Eating at Over Yonder was an awesome experience. They paid attention to the small details like when I made the reservation and said it was our anniversary. We were greeted with a cute little sign on our table to congratulate us. Cecelia, our server, made perfect recommendations and we ended up with a fabulous meal, and some very tasty drinks. They even have a card that describes the history of the house and Chef Andy Long’s background and love for Appalachian Cuisine. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area!

Great place in the area for some comfort food. I didn’t get to learn much about the building, but it is definitely some sort of old house the way it’s designed. The front porch and the floors are very much “antique” adding an extra charm. The staff is extraordinarily helpful and nice and the food was pretty good. Really enjoyed my dining experience.

Our group had an early reservation for dinner and we were sat promptly on time. Our appetizers (okra and the chips) came out very fast and they were fantastic. I ordered the meatloaf and the rest of our party got the fried chicken. Each were great! The food came out fast, it was hot, and perfectly prepared. We got dessert to go- the chocolate chess pie was very good, but the peach cobbler was outstanding. If you are in the area, I’d recommend coming to Over Yonder as you won’t be disappointed.
