Our kitchen: Inspired by six-time James Beard nominated Chef Whims’ many trips to Italy, the cuisine at Oven and Shaker unites tradition and creativity in the arena of wood-fired Neapolitan pizza and Italian street food. We use the freshest available local ingredients, dough made in-house using our signature 70-year-old starter, and hand-toss and fire each pizza to order. Our bar: Overseen by barman Ryan Magarian, the bar at Oven and Shaker reflects his passion for all things liquid and delicious. From his acclaimed signature cocktails that deploy only the finest spirits, daily-pressed juices, to our wide range of “sessionable” local beers and wines our bar offers everyone an experience to remember. Really loved this wood fire pizza! Great selection of liquors and non-liquor drinks. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Fried mozzarella had a beautiful, but light crust with a bright marinara sauce. The tomato pizza had a great balance of flavors- must add the fresh mozzarella for sure! Great turn around time for such flavorful food too.

Visited first time and found it wonderful . Ambience is also lovely. Greeted by the host and server marina who was very welcoming and smiling. Even though they didn’t hv drawing paper n crayons for kids she arranged pen n paper for my little one to scribble on! Loved the mushroom pizza and the fried mozzarella!! This place is amazing! I am so glad that they started an other location closer to the suburbs! There is plenty of parking here at this location the food is just as good as the downtown location With a lot faster and nicer service I don’t think I will be going to the downtown location anymore since it’s become a little dangerous to walk in downtown Portland. Anyways back to the review the radicchio salad was absolutely amazing and the salami Pie Is divine. Absolutely recommending all my friends come check this location out!

The hostess at the front door was incredibly friendly and certainly impressionable enough to mention. We got a couple seats at the bar, which was not an easy task even 5 mins after opening, and ordered a Ruse IPA and a cocktail while waiting for a few pizzas ordered to go. Finally got a chance to try this Olav out after trying again by making reservations thru Open Table. The place is nice and spacious. The pizzas were good with the Sausage and The Grove being my favorite of the ones we ordered. The cocktails are also pretty tasty.

Was just here for lunch with my girlfriend. Really nice, laid back atmosphere. Staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. We ordered a salad and pizza. I’m sure the salad was good but just not to our taste. Fully prepared to pay for it anyway, they offered to take it off the bill. Really great service. We had to leave before we ate our pizza due to personal anxiety reasons, so we got it to go when it came out. Staff again, was incredibly friendly, and attentive. We ate the pizza when we got home and it was super good.

This place is by far and away the best pizza we tried anywhere near Lake Oswego. If you are a fan of Neapolitan style pizza (or just like really good pizza in general) I’d recommend oven and shaker. They are consistently impressive both in food quality and service. The outdoor patio is a great ambiance and the inside has a nice vibe as well. (The pizza oven is impressive btw)
