From the outside, we almost decided to go somewhere else. After our meal, we were glad we didn’t. The food was good and the service (Haley) was friendly. Our Cajun shrimp and garlic bread appetizer came out hot and ready. It was good. I had the sirloin with a salad and baked potato, my wife had the cheeseburger with fries (she was preggo and that’s what sounded good to her). The steak and fries were cooked and seasoned well. The potato was hot, and the salad was fresh. My wife said the burger was good too (it was big)! The atmosphere was quiet… There wasn’t any music playing when we went and the place was pretty empty. Not sure if that’s typical, but it was on Halloween night, so I can’t judge. The staff did seem a little bored when they weren’t serving, but they were otherwise attentive and provided good service. We had our entrees before we finished our appetizer. My advice is to not be fooled by the dated decorating. The place seems to have good fundamentals (service and food). Not outstanding, but satisfying and a pleasant experience. I hope the Open Range Steakhouse sticks around for another year when we’re up there next.

Delicious sirloin, cooked perfectly. My friend loved her catfish, the onion rings and fries were good, good sweet tea, and a spicy appetizer in a great sauce. The people are friendly and the restaurant is clean. Eating here was a great decision!

A top-notch restaurant.The food was served in a timely manner and it was delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive. We have eaten there 3 times and found it to be consistent each time. So happy Chatsworth finally has good family steak restaurant.
