Wow! The presentation, freshness, & flavor of the sushi was incredible. It rivals the most expensive sushi places in DC. I’ve found my go to sushi place in the area. Can’t wait to try more rolls next time!

Top Notch!!! I have eaten lots of sushi in my life, in different parts of the country and the around the world. I can tell you that Oomboon is at the top of my list. The freshness, flavor and presentation is superb. Worth the drive from anywhere you are. I will plan another trip just to eat there again.

Came in on a Friday about 5:30. Waitress saw us come in but never acknowledged us. I ventured to the bar and a lady customer siting there said the waitress stepped out and she usually sits people. When we finally saw her she acted like we were a bother and said do you have reservations. When we said no, she rolled her eyes. We had no idea you needed one. She said we can’t take you til 730. Restaurant has plenty of tables. She went on to roll her eyes and from that it left a negative impression. We won’t be back. It’s not a good feeling to be treated that way. And we really wanted to give this place a try and even more reason to treat others how you want to be treated. Customer service is lacking and I so wanted to be Gordon Ramsey and take over with a big smile but that’s not gonna happen here. We gave our business to the Thai place down the street and they welcomed us and the food was great.

I can’t say enough good things about Oomboon. I’ve wanted to try this place since they opened last summer. We went in on a Friday night and it was quiet but the server said normally it is very busy. The place is unassuming, basic decorations. The food is A M A Z I N G. The chef is seriously a genius when it comes to flavors and combinations. Another hidden gem: if Oomboon we’re in a bigger city, they would be booked solid every night of the week. Make the trip to Colonial JUST for Oomboon!!!

The food was fantastic. The calamari and escargot appetizers were delicious.. We chose three entrees: a sushi dish, sea scallops and filet mignon, and all were equally superior in quality. Excellent presentation. Excellent service. Overall, a wonderful dining experience!
