Wow! The bbq meats were exceptional. This was the best siu yuk (crispy roast pork) we’ve had, including the ones we’ve had in Hong Kong (where my husband’s family is from). The skin remained crispy while the meat was still juicy. A spicy mustard sauce helped cut the fat. The char siu tasted smoky from the smoker and was tender, not dried out like other places (the cut might have been pork belly?).

Best crispy roast pork and BBQ pork cha siu I’ve had in a long time (last time was maybe 2017 in Hong Kong). Both pork dishes were well-marbled with perfect ratio of fat and lean. The crispy pork held up well on the hour drive back to Kaanapali.

Ordered food from here for my dad’s birthday lunch. Wanted to get him something that’s not as available as other things. That’s why we went with only Ono. They are one of the few places on the island that does dim sum , Roast Duck , pork belly , char SIU , the right way. These guys are making it all from scratch and you can really taste the quality and the care that the food is prepared with. I wanted to get some duck but they were already sold out. If you don’t pre order during the week your probably not gonna get any also. So make sure you pre order. We did get some awesome pork belly and some char SIU, they also had a special 5 mushroom chow mein. I am a meat guy but I really enjoyed the mushroom noodles. Also ordered some pork and shrimp shu Mai and some custard tarts for dessert. The tarts were great, when we ate them they were still warm in the middle. Make sure you check. There menu because they have specials that change they change thru the month. I have not been disappointed with anything I have eaten from these guys. In fact there Chinese food is just as good as anything you will find on Oahu. Oh and don’t let me forget there baked manapua is awesome. Again order early or you not going get any. The hardest thing for me is remembering to order early enough to get the good stuff. But it’s all good so don’t miss out. Or if you haven’t tried them yet. What are you waiting for ? I highly recommend these guys. Especially if your craving real authentic Chinese food and have no urge to cook it yourself.
