The porto margarita dip was soooo freaking good along with the cheesy bread. I had shrimp scampi which was good. Very buttery and actually overly buttery.
If you are going to add that much butter to this dish then I’d suggest adding more noodles and veggies so it’s not too saucy. Adding salt and lemon gave it a good flavor. Their fries were very good and crispy. Would definitely return.

Since the owners switched in January all of the good menu items have been removed and what remains is a shell of its former self. The new owners have managed to take comfort food and strip all comfort from it, leaving nothing but a scent of desperation and truffle oil. The new menu items are a masterclass in style over substance, with an emphasis on “over” -at the current point in this restaurant’s life cycle it went from an Italian joint that focused family style dishes to dishes that look confused on the plate and somehow more so on your palate. The new owners are the epitome of everything wrong with the culinary world – they take a dish that costs them $5 per serving and charge 7 times that, while the food lacks flavor and soul. While I would have recommended this location to anybody 3 months ago I could not in good conscious recommend this to anybody going forward until their new management learns what an Italian restaurant is SUPPOSED to be, and if they still can’t figure it out before they bankrupt themselves I would recommend they find somebody’s Nonna to teach them a few lessons on cooking

Had high expectations. Atmosphere and service were good. Shared a pizza with my wife. Thin crust is always a little tricky. Has to be cooked just right. This was overcooked. It affects the taste of the pizza overall.

This place was great and tasted amazing. I loved the garlic bread and the spaghetti tasted good, the noodles were perfect. My boyfriend loved his shrimp scampi and we had a great time in Grand Haven.

My friend and I went here for dinner and drinks. We shared the meatballs appetizer and the garlic aoili fries. The food was decent but we were surprised that the aoili was actually mayo based instead of oil based. They were still good but not what we expected. They did give my friend a free dessert for her birthday so, that was nice. The server Emily did a great job and the atmosphere was very nice.

My wife and I had an early dinner on a Saturday. I had the Chicken Parmesean it was phenomenal as usual. Probably even better than the last time I ordered it. It came out perfectly timed after our appetizer and it was piping hot.
They have worked very hard to maintain and even surpass the level of quality of their menu and service. There’s so much food with the chicken parm that I have another meal for lunch tomorrow!

The meatballs were very cold in the middle, they no longer serve Italian food but rather very bad Mediterranean food. The lettuce wilted and brown, hot yellow peppers instead of the sweet banana peppers, my mashed potatoes were like glue. Way over processed. The chicken was of the skinny slices like one gets out of Sam’s club. Not returning that is for sure.

We had our ceremony and reception at The Grand Harbourfront above Porto Bello. It was the exact style that my husband and I were going for. It is cozy filled with lights, beautiful brick, and the outside balcony attached to the venue was a huge bonus for our guest to be able to step outside for fresh air, play cornhole, smoke, etc. The characteristics of this building, with the touch of our own style/ décor was our exact vision. Nichol was also such a HUGE part in making our vision, and ideas come to life. She helped with all transitions throughout the day, stayed throughout the reception to continue making the night run as smooth as possible, and really just does so many things that we don’t even consider behind the scenes. We got many compliments on the food from many of our guests, and our open bar was fantastic for those who chose to drink, and for those who just wanted fun mocktails. Thank you Porto Bello team for your hard work making our day so memorable and amazing! & thank you Nichol, your dedication to the place and attention to detail really made the entire day go perfectly.
