Went with my family, including my 80 year old aunt, for the 7:30 dueling piano show. The show was EXCELLENT. In addition, the manager was AMAZING and moved our seats when he realized that we were supposed to be placed at a high top and my aunt would struggle. When it was raining as we departed, they looked for an umbrella for her and even offered to drive us home.

This was a nice lil spot. We got here early in the evening to get seats at the bar so we could have dinner. The pork sandwich was delicious and the burger. Brian was an amazing bartender. He kept our drinks coming and the other people as well. Awesome work, dude!

I don’t typically spend a lot of time in Newport being from Providence, but my wife and I took the ferry in and ended our night at Pelham. Despite the bar being packed, our bartender, Sully, was amazing! Super fast service, very attentive and was super sweet. I don’t particularly like crowded bars for that reason- it’s hard to get a drink or even polite service but Sully was honestly fantastic! Also have to shout out the other bartender, Zach, who was also super sweet. We will definitely be back!

Went in the afternoon when there were about 5-6 people total. I figured I would ask the bartender to make an uncommon drink. I had to show him the recipe to make it (which is fine) and he said he could do it. At the end he brings me the drink and it’s black instead of bright green and said he didn’t have two of the liqueurs. Drink tasted awful.

Absolutely appalled by the incompetence and lack of common sense displayed by the bouncer at Pelham East during my wife’s best friend’s wedding. Despite the entire wedding party being over 30 years old, the brain-dead bouncer refused entry to my wife just because she didn’t have a physical copy of her ID. It’s astonishing that someone with such poor judgment and disregard for customer experience is entrusted with such responsibilities. This incident marred what was supposed to be a joyous celebration. The owner needs to seriously address their staff’s behavior and policies to prevent ruining more special occasions in the future.

Brian is the best! Eve though he sees thousands of people, he remembers his customers and takes great care of everyone. He is as much of a draw to the Pelham as the great music.

Go literally anywhere else in Newport. We went with a large crew about 15 people late night. Most of our family was already in the bar when my fiancé, myself and a few others went to meet them. We waited in line patiently and when we arrived at the door, they told my fiancé he was not allowed in because they saw him pee in their parking lot on their camera footage. We of course knew he did not do that, and we really didn’t want to be split up from the group. When i questioned them, they said they could call the cops. I told them to go right ahead and we can have them look at the footage. After pushing back he finally said he would check the footage again. Sure enough, he came out and had to apologize (it was a pathetic apology after such a nasty false accusation) because he was wrong. Last year when we went, they racially profiled our Indian friend and almost didn’t let him in with us. We were a big group willing to rack up a hefty tab, and were with our parents. The whole thing was despicable and unprofessional. Bartenders were rude, bouncers were absolutely horrible and the place felt dirty. Avoid avoid avoid. Never again.
