We love this place (especially when it’s open)! ! My wife had them make the very best German chocolate cake for birthday– I really like German chocolate, and this was the best ever. To have such a great eatery in our (new) home town is fantastic. Now, if they would just be a bit more dependable about being open regularly… that’s my only beef, that they’re sometimes unexpectedly closed. You have to go to their door to see if theyre closed. But definitely worth the trouble when theyre open!

I didn’t get to experience the dining aspect of this Old Town Eatery, because they seem to have odd hours of operation, but I did enjoy the visual aspect of the location. I absolutely love the architecture of Main Street in Jemison, the old style buildings of a forgotten time, it’s a treasure of American history if you enjoy those type things. I went an walked along the use to be store fronts an peer into the old buildings trying to get a glimpse of what they use to be. I do however plan to go back to the Old Town Eatery an get a taste of the food an no doubt southern experience
