Ordered seafood platter and fish was cold and fries had a freezer burn taste. Shrimp had a bitter taste. The rolls were hard. The chicken tenders were not good at all and soggy! I see why there wasn’t anyone in the parking lot from the experience. It is no excuse to serve food like this, look at the pictures and you can tell no one ate their meal. I can remember eating at this location and really enjoying my food. We all kept looking around and wondering what has happened, something has changed. The waitress was wonderful and had excellent customer service. Now the manager had walked by and didn’t asked if our service was okay and I only found out it was the manager once I requested to speak with the manager to let them know about the food. We will not return. We should have went to Chili’s, better food, fresh and hot. If you are reading this review please do not eat at Ocharleys. It is disgusting!!!

My husband and I stopped to grab a bite to eat because we were in the area and hadn’t eaten at this place since pre-pandemic. From entry, the service lacked. There was no one at the front to greet us, the place was almost empty so we peeked inside to ask if it was open. We were told yes and then seated. The tables were not cleaned yet we were sat at one that needed cleaning. The waiter noticed and returned with a towel to wipe table. Even after that, the table just felt unclean. However, we decided to give the place/workers grace and try to stay. We ordered our food, did not wait too long but I felt bad for the folks in the “To-go” area. They had to wait a while with no one to greet them. We asked for rolls and got flat semi baked dough. Really?!? Tasted awful. I ordered catfish and the serving size was disappointing. We will not be returning anytime soon. Southaven Ol’ Charley’s Managers, please do better. Customer Service and quality is key. This is a great family restaurant and we’d like to see improvements please.

The food was good, although the portions were pretty small for the price. That could be just the dish my wife and I had. We tried the new pineapple chicken bowl…good, but small for $13. Our server, Greta, was great, though. Very cheerful and on top of things. The atmosphere is a bit dated. It doesn’t appear to have been updated in more than a decade.

O’Charley’s famous chicken tenders were small, overcooked, tough, and luke warm when they arrived at my table. The fries were hot and tasty and the rolls were hot and tasty as well. The service was excellent. The atmosphere seems a bit run down in comparison to about 5 years ago. A few years ago I experienced poor food quality and service so I did not return until this week. I will go back but if the food is not better I will make other choices for eating out.

Why do I keep trying to give restaurants second and third chances? The food is crazy expensive now and it’s not even worth what they are charging us. I guess I feel if I don’t go for months maybe they would have gotten better over time. Well, I visited O’Charley’s 11-13-22, and we were immediately seated. The waitress Gorgetta, (I think that’s her name), was very polite. It took a while to place our order because I guess O’Charley’s is still understaffed. She tried her best. But my absolute favorite thing to order here are the pepperjack cheese wedges. They used to be so good. Now, they are just average, not as spicy as they used to be. They were better today than the last time I visited about 5 months ago. I ordered the country style tenders w/mashed potatoes and broccoli. I am so disappointed with this food. The tenders were so tough. I tried to cut them with my fork, very unsuccessful. So, I got my knife and struggled to cut them. You would have thought I would have known something was wrong when I had to use my knife to cut chicken tenders. But O’Charley’s pride themselves on their tenders in all the commercials. Well, not so today. Tough, old tenders, old mashed potatoes and extremely old, leftover broccoli. I cannot believe they would even put something that old and brown on my plate and serve it to me. Not sure how clear the pictures are but the broccoli was so brown and shriveled up I completely lost my appetite. I told the waitress at first that I would like some fresh broccoli. But after I tried the tenders and they were disgusting and old, I told her I do not want the food at all. My son’s chipotle tenders on the other hand were fresh and tender and guess what, I cut his with my fork. His fries were not hot and he sent his old broccoli back too. So, what I gathered from my visit today is when you think you go into a restaurant like O’Charley’s and think you are getting fresh food because it’s an hour after they open, NOT!!! You’re being served leftover food that they did not sell the night before. I guess the waitress also let the food sit for a while once it was prepared. Restaurants, please heed this advice, BRING ME MY FOOD AS SOON AS IT IS READY! The service was good though. The manager was polite, took the meal off. I refuse to pay for something I can’t eat and enjoy eating. I don’t have money to throw away! When I went to Myrtle Beach a month ago, that was my first time getting hot fresh food in so long. These restaurants in the south need to learn from them in the east.

We waited 7 minutes at the front door before anyone acknowledged us. Once we sat down, we waited another 10 minutes before our server came. He was very nice and took our order. It was very apparent that he was new-I understand. We are all new at some point. However, he constantly forgot things we asked for.

I’ve been in the customer service business for 22 yrs. I can honestly say that this was the worst service I have ever had. The management obviously doesn’t have a clue of what they’re doing. I stood at the door for over 10 mins waiting to just be greeted. That was after 3 different people walked by and didn’t say a word. It no wonder why you have to close your businesses. Just having good food alone will not keep your establishments open. As of now that’s all you have going for yourself.

O’Charley’s Restaurant in Southaven, MS, was a great place to dine. Our wait time was short, the host was friendly and our waitress was on her A-game. The restaurant was neat and clean which is a plus. The food came out in a timely manner, but the appetizer came out after the food. We had the spinach dip, and it was just ok this time. The steak was tender, well-seasoned, and very tasty. So we’re the mac-n-cheese and broccoli. My wife had the blackened salmon, broccoli, and loaded potatoes. Her salmon was seasoned and cooked to perfection…I did have to sneak a taste. My wife got peach cobbler and ice cream to go and it was good as well… didn’t get to get a pix of that though.. LOL. The waitress did tell us about the cobbler a day or two ago, and said she didn’t like it that day, but wanted to try it out today before she sold it to me today. I guess it met her approval.. I thanked her for her honesty. There is nothing truly bad to say about this place and we will visit again.
