The sushi and rolls are made to order. They are super fresh and great quality. Very friendly service and everything goes quickly. The food can either be consumed on site in the food truck area or taken away as a take-out. Very good value for money.

Fabulous sushi on an island know for sushi! The menu is creative and diverse with all the usual offerings and then some newer fusion choices. The fish quality was perfect and the portions were generous. The atmosphere is causal; beautifully decorated in warm wood. The service is warm and friendly. Everything we ordered was exceptional and we tried a lot of different things. Definitely one of the top restaurants on Maui.

Ordered the Chef’s Choice 6 nigiri, the taste is slightly above average, but was disappointed with the $26 price tag! Out of the 6 nigiri, I got one egg nigiri and one saba nigiri, I would’ve paid less if I had ordered my 6 nigiri separately!! Fix your price please or provide better chef’s choice items.

Amazing sushi! There are so many flavours in one roll, it’s the best sushi I’ve ever tasted. All the food trucks in the area are amazing. Worth checking out!

Got off the plane, dropped stuff at our condo, and headed here for lunch. The firecracker roll was amazing. I’ll definitely be back soon!

Oao is my new favorite spot on island! I have already been a couple of times since they opened up in Wailea and could not be more satisfied! Service has been absolutely amazing, Zach gave us top tier service on our first visit and suggested we return to try Chefs Special. Last night we did that, the range in flavor and textures elevated OAO to one of my top dining experiences anywhere! From the Bluefin, to miso marinated Butterfish, to the Wagyu each course was an entirely new experience that seemed to just get better and better! I highly recommend OAO and guarantee I’ll be back again and again! Thanks for a great experience Chef!

Love the Philadelphia rolls! I would eat these every night for dinner if I had the option. Love the outdoor seating area where you can just take in the atmosphere.

My husband (who is Japanese) grew up with homemade sushi. He is traditionally disappointed in sushi when we go out, however he loved this place and was very enthusiastic throughout the meal. Service was fast and staff was friendly. Very flavorful with fresh ingredients. Don’t forget to BYOB!

Sushi is perfectly adequate, totally gets the job done, no complaints. Service was fine. They don’t have an alcohol license which may not be a bummer for everyone but was for me (hey, I’m on vacation). Biggest gripe is with the 4% “Kitchen Service” fee. Nothing could be more core to a restaurant’s cost of business than the kitchen. If you’re gonna charge BS fees rather than just have the prices on your menu reflect the actual cost of your business come up with something a little more believable.

3rd Sushi place I visited in Maui in consecutive hours. Unfortunately the Sushi is very amateurish. Does not use actual sushi rice and the fish is not very fresh, as is the wasabi. Mostly tasteless and very small pieces, but an effort without knowing how to prepare real sushi rolls. No real quality or effort in the product taste and presentation, but good creativity in some of the names. Highly disappointing, as I find that Maui has lost so much in the years I have been coming. Much to learn and can offer so much more with just a bit more effort.
