I had an excellent experience here. I was welcomed by the host and had a friendly, attentive server. I was so impressed by the food. The stuffed shrimp were amazing along with the salad bar and perfectly made specialty cocktails. It was beyond my expectations walking in, and it is a beautiful restaurant. I had a wonderful dining experience from start to finish.

Recent visit on my wife’s Birthday proved to be a bad choice at this venue . The 4 of us were seated in the empty restaurant , ordered our food and started the salad bar . For the next half hour our water glasses as well as the salad plates were left ignored , never was our food order even mentioned . I had to ask for refills at the 40 minute mark and then asked if there was a problem with the order . The waiter only replied that yes it was taking long ….after getting our food in a bit over a hour my Lasagna was way over cooked crispy and the sauce had dried up into the pasta , my wife said her shrimp Alfredo was in her words so so . Marginal or awful food at the menu price is not acceptable . The salad bar was ok . After myself telling the waiter the food isn’t that good and him seeing I could not even eat the Lasagna he did take that item off my bill . Food and service used to be great at the Hotel Mead , what happened ? New manager , new chef ? Also was told the salad bar was included with Pasta entree , I was charged for an extra salad bar .

Less than impressed, extremely disappointed. Once our table of 6 was seated we waited roughly 20 minutes for waters and at least 30 minutes before we even had our order taken. There were 4 tables, mind you. Waitress took our order as we specified which bills went together. Salads/soups and appetizers came out in a timely manner, deep fried pickles, we make better at home. Nothing to write home about. Upon unwrapping silverware crusted dried on food was on our silverware set. Food came out in a timely manner surprisingly. Waitress had no idea who had what. One order was completely wrong, with no crab on the salmon. Waitress never once checked on us, refilled drinks or refilled water. A “cook” possibly in a white uniform eventually came out and refilled our glasses of water. No one received their bills correctly. After waiting 20 minutes we finally went to the cashier and complained. No apology made and we still waited for our bill. As we were cashing out the white uniformed man came and informed CJ she had another table waiting for their bill. We could hear the table next to us complaining about their waitress too. So much potential but would have rather spent our $50 at Applebees, sadly. There was NO excuse for the lack of service received!

This is an up-market bar with decent bar food and a great selection of beverages. Staff are all well-trained and friendly. Home made French fries are delicious and the pizzas are also recommended.

Excellent Friday night fish fry. The waitress was very accommodating with not trying to rush us out of the restaurant. The grill has a nice atmosphere in that you can carry on a conversation with others at your table.

Daughter and I had Sunday buffet. Guy can make a tasty omelet. Bacon over cooked, mashed potatoes runny, popcorn shrimp tastes more like popcorn. Understaffed for servers as usual so they are trying their best. Now the real kicker: total bill was $28.40. I also had a 10% off coupon. Had daughter pay with $30 in cash. Manager takes 10% off coupon and she brings back $1.96 in change. Was the 10% off on just the tax?! I don’t think I will be coming back again and I’ve come to the tavern many times for pizza but this was my first for brunch. It will be my last for all of it.

Service was prompt and friendly. Food was perfect ordered breakfast. Got two eggs with hash browns and hams. Large portions. I asked for basted eggs and they were made to perfection. My fiancé got the special, a croissants sandwich. It was flaky and perfect, and the eggs on it were perfect. Very happy we got breakfast here.
