Can’t believe we waited so long before trying this place just across the street from us! So many options to choose from but we settled in the Szechuan beef, sweet & sour pork, and vegetable fried rice. This was more than enough food for my husband and I. We both had leftovers for the next day. The A/C seemed to be out when we were there. Otherwise it is a very welcoming, casual atmosphere. Our server was very attentive and our food came so fast!

Real tasty spot! Bit of a hidden gem, and I’ve lived in this nearby neighborhood for over a year.

I have been searching for a place that serves the numbing Szechuan for 6 years. Today my wife and I finally found a place that serves it in a hot pot, soup style.

I had the 34. Sichuan Chicken, Fried Rice, and Egg Flower Soup. I just moved to the area and found this great restaurant. I have to say this was one of the best Asian meals I have ever had and definitely the best in Albuquerque. The flavors from the vegetables, chicken, and rice were outstanding. The soup was incredible also. I am so glad I found this restaurant. I look forward to trying other menu items. The atmosphere was great. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I really have no complaints. Ordered for the first time today! Big portions. Great flavor. Really nice people. The price was good. I never had tried this place, even though I live right across from it. I will be back! First, great Chinese food that I’ve seen in Albuquerque.

Came here for lunch with my family. Delicious food and very friendly staff! I believe it was the owner who took our order. She was very attentive to our table and made great food recommendations. We got the dumplings and spring rolls, as well as the duck, orange chicken, shrimp friend rice, and vegetable lo mein. Will definitely be back!

i lived in pittsburgh, pa for 5 years where there are tons of options for authentic chinese cuisines, including szechuan. so when i moved back to albuquerque recently, i was on the hunt for authentic szechuan. i don’t think there was any, until Nio opened! we ordered the spicy fried chicken, one of my favorite szechuan dishes and one that i always order at a szechuan restaurant and it did not disappoint! really scratched my itch / hit the spot. the clams in black bean sauce was also amazing. i was definitely in my happy place with these two dishes. my boyfriend also ordered the singapore noodles and that was pretty good too. i’m really happy with our experience and so glad i don’t have to wait to travel somewhere to get my authentic szechuan fix. can’t wait to come back to try more dishes.

I’m not even Chinese but I felt like I was eating comfort food that made me nostalgic for growing up somewhere in Sichuan China. I was *so* happy eating there and wished folks were there sharing the food w/me. This is now my favorite Chinese restaurant in Albuquerque. I need to go back and try the duck!

Love Spicy Numbing Szechuan? This place hits the spot. Every was tastey, hot, and fresh. Dont confuse roast duck for peking duck, the roast duck here is flavorful. Everyall authentic Szechuan chinese food, unlike many here locally that isnt it. Comparable to big city joints like north California. Will recommend.
