Great value. Food’s not bad. Service is excellent. Homemade pies and pastries up front. Grab one on your way out! We ate here a few times over our 4-week stay. One of the best places to eat in the little town of Newport.

The wait staff at our go-to place has gone so far downhill we literally walked out the door without ordering. We decided to give the Big Stop a try, so glad we did. While their breakfast menu was limited, the food was very good and the portion sizes huge. The waitress was friendly and efficient. They immediately greeted and sat us, and took our beverage order before leaving the table. The food was out quickly and she checked for coffee refills several times. We will definitely be back.

The food was ok. The chocolate cream pie was disgusting that left a bad after taste. The waitress below average. I have not eaten here for a few years and I must say everything here has gone way down hill, the service and the food. The prices are higher. The food is not worth the price. They employees were all standing around talking when I got there. We had to wait for them to finish their conversation before they seated us. I would give this place poor for a grade

Took my boys here on Labor Day because the other restaurants were closed. It was a long wait, as a lot of tourists there as well. The staff were super great and despite the many customers, I’d say the food didn’t take as long as I thought. BUT the prices were extremely high compared to other local places. Just a heads up on cost. Each breakfast dish was $11 or more! And that doesn’t include drinks or any side dish.

If I had the option to give “zero stars” that is exactly what I would give. My family of 5 decided to come here for dinner and left unbelievably disappointed. My oldest daughter ordered a taco salad and that was the absolute worst part of the entire thing. The hamburger looked as if it wasn’t even hamburger. It was so burnt and over cooked and had zero flavor to it. It looked like it had been nuked in the microwave for so long, that the cheese that they had put on top of it, was also burnt and we were able to remove all of the hamburger off the taco salad in one pull. It was gross. She didn’t even up eating that part. She left hungry. My son had ordered scrambled eggs. They were rubber, flavorless and chewy. They honestly looked strange and he didn’t even want to eat them. My husband and I got onion rings/French fries to share. They were so severely overly-fried. And rest was down hill from there. Was going to get desert but used our better judgement based off what was in front of us.. Person who sat us was cranky and clearly didn’t want to be there. Wish I would of taken pictures for proof of this catastrophic nightmare. $71 dollars. We don’t feel good. Will never go back. Ever. Even if someone else was paying. Going to go pray that We don’t have food poisoning now. Burger King would have been better.
