Hubby flew me to Maryland just to enjoy Nigerian food. This was our last day and decided to try Nene’s restaurant and her meals are super delicious. Great customer service too. Call ahead or be prepared to wait a few mins for your meals it

Please, do near this restaurant, the food is not properly cooked and unhealthy. I ordered for vegetable soup but I was given stew that might have stayed up to four days. I am reporting them to Health department.

I have been bored with the usual culinary lunch offerings in this area. Ever since I began working in Greenbelt, I have missed the DC culinary scene. I was perusing Google Maps for places very close to my job when I stumbled on this West African restaurant. I was unsure what to expect since I had not tasted anything except jollof rice once. I was delighted with the first bite and devoured the huge container within 15 minutes. I highly recommend goat with jollof rice! You will be greeted with smoky, mildly spicy, rich flavors from the goat meat and the rice.

How often can you find Top Palm Juice. This delicious drink has a mild buzz with some nice sweetness. It is just the thing with a plate of rice, goat, and plantains. I think it is hard to find good goat in the States, and Nene’s does not disappoint. Also, you get free Nollywood cinema.

Sometimes I have difficult experiences when it comes to asking for modifications due to my allergies. However she was so kind and easy to talk to. I called the day before to ask dietary questions. The following day I called again and the food wasn’t ready yet (which is a great sign! It’s not frozen). I called back and missed her call. She called me back quickly and let me know my food was ready (also great). When I came in I was greeted with a smile and left with delicious FRESH homemade food. It’s so important to support small women minority owned businesses. I really recommend visiting her place.

The service was friendly so I feel a way having to leave this review. I ordered two servings of Suya shortly before 2 PM today (Saturday). I was told the wait would be 10 minutes but ended up waiting for around 20 minutes. Unfortunately, the Suya I received seemed to be old, maybe from the night before, and reheated in the microwave, so it’s dry. It wasn’t even hot after it took 20 minutes to come out of the kitchen, so I’m not sure what exactly it is they were doing. I didn’t wait to start eating it when it was received, so there was no time for it to cool down. I’m not able to finish eating it, so it’s money wasted.

I have been to many Nigerian restaurants. This is the best Nigerian restaurant ever. Both in Nigeria and outside Nigeria.

Absolutely delicious food, the jollof rice, egusi, goat meat, yam fufu, and plantains were all perfectly cooked & seasoned, wish we lived nearer to return often!

This place has the best nigerian food in the college park area. I used to go there nearly everyday for lunch, it was that good! Try the Efo Riro and Ogbono soup, you will not be disappointed! The lady is also very nice so it helps a lot with customer service. She is probably the only spot I go to and the rep has a smile on her face to greet customers. Can’t wait to try it again!
