Sacramento natives Cecil Rhodes and Jake Bombard were running Cecil’s food truck, Cecil’s Taste, in late 2017 when they decided to mess around with a recipe for a Nashville hot chicken sandwich. When the new menu item immediately became a sellout favorite, the team knew they had struck gold, and decided to open a new food truck – Nash & Proper – to focus exclusively on delivering Sacramento’s favorite fried chicken sandwich to the masses. Today, Nash & Proper continues to offer the area’s best fried chicken with your choice of heat, and homestyle sides such as slaw, potato salad, and crinkle fries.
