PRICE SCAM – Though the food is pretty good(the Naan bread was probably the best I’d ever had) he insisted we only pay AFTER we ate. See bunch of other reviews below where others experienced the same thing. Initially very nice but after we ate and came back to the truck, he charged an INSANE price. About $20/plate and then $10 for naan bread. Despite the food being good and generous portions, we won’t be back because of his sneaky scam. Go get Indian food elsewhere!

Loved this Hidden Gem in Kappa area in Kauai. Pleasantly Surprised that even Vegetarian Dishes were very Tasty !! Chef Mr. Shyam is very good at what he does. Our Paneer Spinach & Aloo Mutter were Cooked to perfection. Dal Tadka reminded me of home cooked Dal. I think Naan were from Costco (or some other ready to eat Naans) and we liked them too.

We ordered kerala fish curry and chicken curry and they both looked and tasted exactly the same, no flavor at all. The person cooking has a very bad attitude. All we asked was a brown paper bag to take our food in and he refused to give it to us. $63.00 dollars for very tasteless food with bad attitude.There are no prices listed anywhere. He charged us 63 dollars for two entrees, Costco tortilla and two bottles of water. We feel deceived and scammed. I would give this place a miss.

OMG food!!! This was one of the highlights of our trip. The food is beyond delicious. I had the shrimp curry and it reminded me of my mom’s curry. That’s how good it was. The portion was very generous and I couldn’t finish it. We also had the veg curry and it was equally amazing. I am still thinking about the delicious food. The service was very informal and we actually enjoyed it. He took our order, asked us to wait and then took the bill after our meal which is very close to the culture back in India.

Amazing food!! We had to come back there twice during our stay in Kauai! The food is authentic and flavorful. Also served with good quality and quantity. Food is prepared fast and served hot! As an Indian family who’s from DC, this place is the best Indian food we’ve tasted anywhere. Highly recommend the Kerala Fish Curry!!

Sam’s food did not disappoint! Large servings and rich in flavor. The lamb is halal which was a nice surprise. Although we did not have an itemized receipt, we felt the price was very fair. For comparison, we ordered coconut lamb korma with rice, paneer tikka masala with rice, and two chapati and paid about $50. The servings were so large we had leftovers the next day. Another day, at a small cafe we ordered two teas and open faced sandwiches and paid around $50.

Good indian food.. lotsa options… Chapata was too good and soft !! Chicken gravy was amazing !! they even had chai available. It’s a food truck with limited seating in the front… A beautiful beach behind the food truck… Friendly staff and quick service.. Open till late where as many close very early. Portions are good.

One man show! He’s so sweet and the food was some of the best I had on island. Even better than 1 kitchen in Princeville for a fraction of the price. I went up to the window and asked “what’s the best vegan dish?” He replied “I’ve got you. What level spicy?” It was incredible. Best food truck food, best Indian food, huge portions, full belly. I went to bed happy that night. I’ll definitely be back!
