OMG talk how about Deli Foods! This is the go-to place for everywhere near Scarsdale and North 20 miles. Is it is a hole in the wall and easy to miss. Although there is plenty of parking and it is wheelchair accessible. Take out only, no dining in.

OUTSTANDING smoked salmon, hand sliced. It’s the Russ and Daughters of Westchester. (no affiliation). I actually prefer their smoked salmon to Russ and Daughters. About $50 per pound for smoked salmon. Suggest calling ahead for your order and have it ready for pick up.

This place is always packed so my family and I decided to visit on a rainy afternoon. We ordered several fillets of salmon and a smoked trout. Much to our chagrin, after we got home we realized the cashier had given us someone else’s order of a variety of spreads. We opted to eat the spreads rather than drive another half hour back to the store, and within hours my husband and daughter were sick with food poisoning. I called the manager, William, who was obnoxiously rude and “declared” he wasn’t going to take any responsibility for our sickness. I suggested to him that he check the spreads he was selling in the case, and he laughed at me and told me to mind my own business. I strongly suggest people avoid this disgusting salmonella factory.
