Saw that a newer BBQ place opened in Central Ohio. Decided to check it out. Arrived at opening time. Met Ms Dottie one of the owners and chatted about the business, open around 4 or 5 months. Also chatted with Mox, the place is named after. And then there is Eric the son, he’s super energetic and loves helping everyone. All together they’re are a super group of people. I ordered a whole group of different items all over the menu. The pulled pork was super moist and had a slightly sweet taste to it, really delicious stuff. Then I had some brisket which was so moist and tasty. Can’t beat it. Tried a bunch of the sides, the coleslaw was a creamy style but had a vinegary flavor to it, very fresh tasting. Green beans had potatoes, carrots in it, super flavorful. Main course was rib tips, they had a nice flavor to them and you get a good portion. On to some more sides. Ordered several pieces of the cornbread which was a nice coarse moist pieces that were definitely some of the best I’ve had. Throw some butter on it and you are in heaven. Then there was the Mac and cheese, one of the stars of show, super creamy and DELICIOUS. Asked Ms Dottie what was in it, that wasn’t happening, secret recipe from her sister. LOL!! Next was the baked beans, OMG!!!! Off the chart!!! A nice mixture of multiple types of beans, pieces of onions, pulled pork pieces, green peppers and the sauce just brought it all together. Some of the best I’ve ever had. Yummmm!! Do yourself a favor and check this family business out. You won’t be disappointed. It’s MOX Rocks BBQ!!!!

Great BBQ!! We had the pulled pork sandwich, brisket sandwich, green beans and beans. All were amazing. Wonderful service and comfortable and homey settings. If we lived closer we’d be visiting often!

I am sorry I did not take a picture of my food, because I was distracted with my great grandson trying to get him feed. But the portion that was in the meal was really nice. Is order the rib tip and turkey with greens and mac and cheese with his famous cole slaw. The meal was elleclent in every way. The presentation, portions, seasoning. and taste. I will recommend the to any one that what a golf chickeod not bland dinner. I also purchased half baked chicken season to perfection. I only have good things to say about Mox Rocks BBQ. I did meet the owner a real down to earth people’s person pleasant to talk with.

We like to try new places especially “Mom & Pop” restaraunts. Some good, some bad. We had 1/2 chick ($6), 1 lb pulled pork ($12), and the beans($5). The chicken and the beans were very good. The pulled pork not so much. Bland and tasteless. My wife and I think it had been frozen. Not only that but it was minced up and looked nothing like PULLED pork. There were a few pieces of the bark in there but even those had no flavor. I know it’s hard to judge how many customers you will have on any given day but running out of a fresh item is better then serving that stuff. Might go back for another chicken and wouldn’t mind trying some of the other sides. RIBS ARE WAY TO EXPENSIVE!

Delicious! Been meaning to stop by every time we drive by and today Dotty opened EARLY just for us!! Mark does an amazing job with the smoker, the place is super cute and smells SOOOO GOOD, better yet the food is delicious! Dotty gave us a sample of the brisket which had great flavor and a kick of spice, the mac and cheese is to die for, their BBQ sauce is very good and the pulled pork sandwiches are huge. WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK AGAIN!!!

Today was the first time I’ve had the chance to try it. I was lured in by the delicious smells when I was sitting in traffic. Best flavored ribs I’ve had in Columbus (and I frequent barbecue establishments often)! Baked beans and cornbread were phenomenal as well. Will definitely be back to check out the brisket, greens, and mac’n’cheese!

Mac and cheese is AMAZING. Also baked beans are my new favorite ( multiple kinds of beans, and a deliciously unique sauce). Brisket was extremely tender and loved the tangy finishing sauce. 12/10

Best local bbq on this side of town. The gentleman behind the counter was super friendly, explained the menu, and even gave me a free side of beans to try. The brisket, chicken, and sides were all very good. Highly recommended.

Their bbq is awesome! We tried the 1/2 chicken and pulled pork, both were delicious. Also the Mac and cheese is super good. I highly recommend. The owners were really nice and personable too.
