We had a great time. Moon River Resort is a small, beautiful place on Lake Barkley in Cadiz, KY. The lakes are gorgeous and expansive. The staff at the resort was helpful and friendly.

We were there last weekend on a lake trip have eaten here before it appears to be under new ownership. They don’t quite have the restaurant business down yet kind of a mess that night. We waited almost 3 hours for our food. My wife insisted we leave but I was drinking and having a good time so I thought I would stay and listen to karaoke, finally got our food to go was pretty good. Not sure what the wait was for. I’m sure they’ll get it worked out and it will come a great place again to location is perfect. The view from the deck overlooking the lake is really nice and that they have music about every weekend.

Everything was great with our boat rental except the boat was filthy. I asked for a leaf blower to blow all the cob webs and bugs off the boat but they said they didn’t have one. But when we can back I saw a pressure washer on the dock. People and service were great. Would be 5 stars if the boat was not so filthy.

This is a place that has a few growth spurt problems. Food is excellent and wait staff is topnotch but food can take from 30 minutes upto over an hour to be served after ordered and may be short of some items (such as pizza topping) due to them running out of ingredients, but is still worth the wait. Wait staff is definitely over worked but still does an excellent job of getting to everyone. This is a great place for a weekday meal or early weekend supper but holiday weekends can be a bit hectic. It was so bad over the 4th that one server was so overwhelmed during the supper rush that she quit in the middle of it, the rest still kept up to a high standard of service. Atmosphere and view from the deck are really nice and relaxing. I’ll definitely be going back but not maybe on holiday weekends.

Everybody went above and beyond. I have health issues and all the staff were accommodating , especially Jess. Food was delicious and lake views were phenomenal. Highly recommend them for their first rate service and attitudes. I’ll be back.

After a long weekend of fishing, me and a friend went to eat dinner. The staff was very friendly and the food was excellent. The place has an amazing vibe and the newly remodeled space was awesome. They had a live band setting up as we were leaving on the back deck. This is the place to come if you want to eat, stay, and they have boat rentals. Highly recommend the fresh homemade pizzas and calzones.
