The fufu with fish was great, my boyfriend got the jollof with mixed meat and that was delicious as well. On top of that the woman who took our order was super sweet and enthusiastic about how good the food would be. Definitely coming back❤️

First time I came I had Ayamase with rice n plantains so delicious the spice is perfect because I love ️ ! Came back had mixed meats beef chicken goat egusi w/ her pounded yam. Her food is made freshly. She’s constantly in the kitchen cheffing up delicious fresh Nigerian food. I’ll be back for mashed beans plaintain with bread. I’m from NYC was looking for GOOD food in NJ this place is AMAZING. First off I was greeted upon entry by this gorgeous woman who was so sweet. I ordered the Jollof rice with fish and plantains and OH MY GOD it was amazing!! EVERYTHING was fresh, EVERYTHING was GOOD and EVERYTHING was hot! I LOVE to eat my food HOT straight off the stove I will cool it off with my mouth and that’s exactly how my food was served. (if you don’t like your food hot then just wait for it to cool off duhhh) The plantains were cooked to perfection and so sweet. I chose this restaurant based off of all of the 5 star reviews and I was NOT AT ALL disappointed. This restaurant will see me OFTEN!!

I had the pleasure of speaking directly with the owner and it ended up making my day. I had been stressed at work for the past weeks and I needed some home cooked meals to make me feel better ( I’m sure you’ve felt like this many times) . She went above and beyond and then some for me. I love her and you can that love extends to her meals. The menu selection is very decent and so are the prices. Give it a try at least once , you won’t regret.

Let’s start of by complimenting how clean the restaurant was. Secondly, this was only my 2nd time trying chicken egusi soup. My first time wasn’t the best experience HOWEVER the soup here was deliciousssss with the fufu. It was filled with unbelievable flavors. I can admit that I was skeptical at first because of my first experience but that changed when I took my first bite. I would definitely frequent the restaurant!

IF U LOOKING FOR GOOD AFRICAN FOOD THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO……I have been to a lot of African restaurants but I must say this one is the BEST one by far, it’s HANDS DOWN THE BEST AFRICAN RESTAURANT I EVER BEEN TOO & I have been to plenty of them, The Lady that works there was very nice very friendly & welcoming, The food was absolutely delicious, I had okra soup mixed with egusi with tripe, it was the best I ate so far…. This is def my NEW & ONLY Place to eat from as of today, Also the prices are VERY reasonable too, you def get MORE than your moneys worth, I could eat here everyday which is why I was disappointed when she told me they closed on Tuesdays but that’s ok I’ll be there Wednesday

Okay so I found out about this place , really from doing uber eats as a driver. Even though I past a few times because my friend who does my hair lives I’m the area.. Needless to say I told the Lady who cooks by her self ( which is good because you get the same taste all the time.) I told her I will come back some time. Now this is an African restaurant everything looks good that I’ve smells good. The fried shrimp are some of the best shrimp you may try ever. They are seasoned to perfection perfectly fried the better is good.. This better many seafood spots, soul food spots.. They beat the famous light house in New York which was once really good but they fell out in my eyes.. so everything I go over there I get the ten peace shrimp with fries or buy it self. Always the same quality and exceptional taste. I’m never dissatisfied. Today we went out all out and tried the crab Macaroni&cheese and Lobster Macaroni & cheese and they both hit aswell no complaints with a nice portion of crab meat and lobster considering your only paying 13$ a plate . Ten shrimp I believe is 12$ trust me well worthed!! Next time I’m going to try some jollof rice or her version of friend rice and chicken. My only suggestion is call in advance because it is only person there . And that is the wonderful Lady who takes the order and cooks. Again I love the shrimp , I’ve been many places looking for good shrimp and fried fish. Many for short. I’m also from New York but I now I live in New Jersey.. That’s my experience with Modupe. May this help you on your journey and hunger a taste floor shrimp seafood mac n cheese hits you.. I’m sure everything else is good aswell. Thankh you modupe. O mind you I live in linden and do trip with no problem.
