Best sushi we have found in the area and one of our favorites of all restaurants. We go about once a week. Excellent soups and sushi. We always order these sushi rolls: Blackjack, Wasabi Roll, and Rock and Roll. Many others are great, but these are our must-haves. We love the soups and Tempura appetizer as well. I’m planning to try other cooked menu items like Hibachi soon because we’ve seen other tables’ orders look so good, but I can never have enough sushi. Food, service, and atmosphere are consistently great, and we’ve never been disappointed.

Let me just say the food was delicious and so well prepared! The dynamite shrimp lived up to it’s name and the rolls we had were absolutely amazing. The fried cheesecake was the perfect finish. Service was great. Thank you Mizu! ☺️

Excellent sushi and service. Go on Tuesday and Thursday for great specials. The salads with ginger dressing are awesome and you can buy a small container to go. You might want to make reservations towards the end of the week as it does get crowded.

Friendly staff, clean restaurant. We had sushi, 4 different rolls. They were very good but on the smaller side of what we are used to seeing and eating. We do eat quite a bit of sushi.. Not a bad place to eat at.

Very disappointed to write the review since this has always been one of my favorite restaurants. Food is great but if they ever make a mistake the situation will be handled very poorly. The waitress lost my debit card, I told them I would not be paying for the meal because of this. I leave having to cancel my debit card for them to call me an hour later that they found my card which at this point I already had to cancel. Not only did they charge me for my food but added a $20 tip. I understand mistakes happen but I should not have been charged for the meal after all the trouble I am now having to go through for a new debit card.

Went to mizu for dinner with a group of 10 on a Saturday night. Food was great, everything was great until it came time for the bill. The server passed us all our bills at the table, my wife and I put in a debit card, everyone else used credit cards. The server took them all and went to the computer to swipe and ring everything up. When she came back to the table she passed everyone their bill books except my wife and I. She opened ours a couple times looking confused and then walked back to the computer. A few minutes later she came back and asked if everyone had their cards and asked if anyone had ours. Our whole table had only their cards. She disappeared for a while and finally came back informing us she had lost our card and that she “needs to quit her job” and that this happens to her every few years or so. We waited patiently for a while longer and she made her way back to our table again after searching floors and said if we leave our name and number when it turns up she would call us. This was an issue, anyone could have picked the card up and could have been at lowes racking up charges while we are sitting there waiting. We told her if our card was lost we had no choice but to cancel it and that would mean having to file for a lost card with the bank on Monday and the headache of having to go through and literally change every autodraft payment associated with that card. Our plans that night were to go to an escape room, that was booked with the card as well. We told her we would give our name and number but we did not feel that we should have to pay for our meal if we had to go through all that hassle over her losing our card, she agreed. We left our bill on the table, did not sign it and left. 45 minutes later we got a call saying she found the card, “in the seat where we were sitting. We know that was a lie, the bill book never even made it to our hands when she got to our table and realized the card wasn’t there. We picked the card up even though it was useless at that point, the card was already reported lost or stolen. The next morning we checked the bank account and not only was the charge ran but a $20 dollar tip was graciously added as well. We called first thing Monday morning and were told a manager would contact us the next day. The manager informed us that all they could do is give us the $20 dollar tip back and that we ate the food and they swiped the card so pretty much they couldn’t do anything. We drive all the way from kerr lake, 2 miles from Virginia to eat at mizu. We always passed up closer sushi restaurants just because we loved mizu so much. Everytime we went we would have a group of at least 6, sometimes close to 20. After how muzu handled the situation we will not be returning again and will inform others of our experience

Such a great place to go for sushi. I love the train that goes around the bar area that has inexpensive samples on color coded plates. I love watching them make the sushi behind the counter and most of all I love the variety from simple rolls to deep fried and from simple to highly decorated. I haven’t found one I don’t like! Mmmmm
