Friendly staff. We came for lunch. Their bento box was definitely a good deal but depends on what items you choose. I got the salmon entree but I wouldn’t get it in the bento box just based on portion. Tempura and California roll were great deals in the bento. The orange blossom was also nice. The portions were decent size. Everything was standard. There were a few tables inside and a couple outside.

I found the sushi to be quite average during my visit. When the waitress checked in to see if everything was okay, I mentioned that I wasn’t particularly fond of one of the items, but unfortunately, she didn’t seem able to help address my concern at all. As I was leaving, she kindly asked if I wanted to take the leftovers with me, but I decided against it. I hope that in the future, they might focus more on customer feedback. While I appreciate the experience, I will not be returning ever, as I was hoping for something a little more special.

How have I not reviewed this location? Let’s set the scene. I am tired from scouting for a photo location off the coast on a Thursday afternoon. I need substance. This is a place I’m looking around for food for. I am sat down look over the menu. Order green tea with miso soup. Instantly I am revived. Still holds true to today.

We came close to closing after visiting the Ritz Carlton. They stayed open passed closing for us and didn’t rush us at all. We got some rolls, tempura, and their sushi boat which has a little bit of everything sushi and sashimi and rolls. Everything tasted fresh and didn’t feel overpriced for the quality.

Good sushi at average prices, staff was nice and the restaurant seems clean. Unfortunately the location is small and has very limited seating so you may have to wait to get in. Update 8/23 still great food and service

What a fantastic hole-in-the-wall gem we stumbled upon! We were unfamiliar with the area, and found this place was open when most other sushi places were closed, so off we went. Did not know this was a tiny 12-seat strip mall sushi restaurant, but man… it did NOT disappoint!
Everything we had from the pork gyoza, tempura, teriyaki chicken, to the sushi (chirashi don) was perfect. A+ on the fish; large cuts of very fresh sushi, and perfect sushi rice. All at amazing prices.
If we ever return to Half Moon Bay, we will definitely be going back. I highly recommend this place.

It was so amazing, recommend you to get a tuna hand roll with avocado and put spicy Mayo on it! It is damn good. Favorite sushi place. Not a bot btw!

Small cute shop. My boyfriend and I went in exploring the area were from out of the area ordered one roll each we thought the spider roll didn’t have sesame seeds. Once we saw it we just decided to pick the seeds off since my boyfriend is allergic the staff noticed and immediately checked up on us and made him a new roll. This is the first time any small or large sushi restaurant has been so attentive. It was awesome and delicious.

I honestly really love this place. I had sushi before and the sushi here make me feel really excited when I took the first bite. I would definitely wanna go to this place again, and maybe bring a friend!! 10/10 5 stars. I loved the California rolls & poppers. The poppers made me do a little dance when I took the VERY FIRST BITE. I wish I could eat the poppers everyday.
