Social Profile:

Mitchell Hill BBQ Grill & Brew is owned and operated by Bob and Roxanne Benoit. We began in 2010 providing portable catering service on the weekends. After 28 years at a printing press company, Bob lost his job due to company downsizing. He knew that day was coming and he knew what he wanted to do when the time came. November 2019, after a lot of hard work, we opened our new restaurant! COVID hit in March 2020!! No one could ever have imagined how much this would impact us all. We are almost 3 years in, we have found the best staff anyone could ask for! We have come a long way to provide fresh made, good quality food. We still offer portable catering and we have a function hall that we rent out for events. God has been good us!

The service was quick and attentive. The dining room and restroom were both very clean.

Food is fine. I got the meatloaf and mashed potatoes(side of Mac and cheese which I don’t recommend). It definitely wasn’t bad or anything but not the greatest either. My one main complaint is the music is soo loud. Can’t hear someone else talk. Then they have it playing outside on the sidewalk that u could probably hear across town. I do love hearing people sing and stuff but it’s just too loud. We left after eating (this is coming from someone who likes loud music lol). But u can’t even hear ur own thoughts.. ‍♀️ but might go back not exactly sure.

My first visit was phenomenal and stress free. The atmosphere was very inviting, from wood panel walls to the incredible smell of bbq.

We got take out and it was amazing. The sauce, the meat, the sides right down to the cornbread was fantastic! The young lady on the phone was super nice and knew the menu well. And our food was ready in 20 minutes. We will definitely be back! It’s a nice little gem in Rochester. ♥️

I have never had a bad meal here. My favorites are the Piggy Tots or Mac n Cheese. The Piggy Tots are so good that it’s hard for me to not want to order them every week and their Mac n cheese is the perfect comfort food, it’s creamy and delicious. I had their Chicken and Waffles special last night and every single bite was the perfect combination of salty and sweet, I can’t say enough good things about it. Their staff is very friendly and the owners are amazing.

We had an anniversary party at Mitchell Hill’s Roberge Center venue with dinner and dancing. We looked at several venues across NH and this venue was PERFECT. Such a lovely venue! It’s really a beautiful space with nice amenities and perfect size for a small to mid-size gathering. Food was delicious and Bob and Roxanne were fantastic to work with! Highly recommend. Several local folks were attending our gathering and were surprised that such a lovely venue was right downtown/in their backyard (tucked behind the restaurant down the side street next to the water) – definitely a hidden gem!

The atmosphere and hospitality of the establishment was great, and the bbq sauces are awesome. The brisket was good, a bit dry. But to be expected due to ordering to go. The only issues I had was with how dry the burnt ends were and that it was only 4 very small peices, the Mac ‘n’ cheese had no flavor at all. I am not sure what the sausage loaf was, kinda looked like meat loaf, but that may be how they make sausage. The food was ehh. But the people that work there are great and very respectful, hopefully I just came by on a bad day.

Our server was very kind and upbeat. That was nice. We managed to beat the rush which was lucky for us.

You could close your eyes, point at a menu option, and wouldn’t be disappointed. Carolina Vinegar sauce is easily the best (if you don’t like sweet bbq sauces), especially with the pulled pork. I’m surprised this place isn’t packed all the time.
