Wanted to try because they had really good reviews and the menu looked good. I had the gravy train skillet and my wife had the coconut cream French toast. The skillet was not the best I’ve ever had but worth trying. The French toast was really rich. The coconut cream overpowered the French toast. More like a dessert than breakfast. Little overrated would be my take.

We had heard about this on the food network, so we had to try while we were here! It did not disappoint. It was a bit of a wait, which was expected. They seemed to be a bit short staffed, but it was fine! Had a skillet and sandwich and we had to try the pancakes! If we come back to the area we’ll definitely go again!

We really liked the bwi diner so we explored to find this location. It was nice. I wanted a more authentic aesthetic but it was nice. The food was crazy good. I got stuffed French toast – flavors stood up and smacked you! It as really good. My son got Chocolate chip and bananas pancakes.. he liked them a lot.

The atmosphere is so welcoming. Came with a party of 3. Ordered the chicken and waffles ~ Excellent. The chicken sandwich ~ Excellent. The pancake stack with ala carte bacon ~ pancakes were very dense and a little disappointing. The overall experience was great ~ We will definitely go back!

I feel the earlier you arrive, the better. It started to get busy right after 9 a.m. The food is amazing, and it may seem a little pricey, but the portions make up for it. Will make this a go-to every time. The Cuban is on the smaller side but definitely delicious. The donuts……definitely a must! And the fried deviled eggs seemed a bit risky, but Iso glad we took the jump and ordered.

I was excited to come here and was even more impressed with the meal I chose. Some of the best chicken and waffles I have ever eaten. I ordered the pineapple donuts at the last minute and they were absolutely delicious. So many dishes to choose from and it was very hard to decide. I will definitely be back real soon!!

I ordered the coconut cream filled french toast. It looked good. My expectation was that being French Toast with filling and fruits that it would be warm toast with a cool filling. Upon first bite, I discovered I was wrong. The filling was so hot it literally burnt my mouth. After a quick grab for my ice water. I had to pull the toast apart and allow several minutes for the cream to cool down before I could eat it. Sort of ruined the experience. Even as I am writing this review 10 hours later, the roof of my mouth still hurts.

Came on a Sunday. No reservations and have to join wait list in person. We waited about 45 minutes. Cocktails were great, food was awesome and shareable. We had a group of 4 and got 3 entrees and one appetizer. Everyone was full and happy. Most of the seating are booths, but they are spacious. We got street parking but there is a pay lot across and down a side street. Saw plenty of kids but could be a tight space for babies that need a booster seat. Women’s bathroom has three stalls and is clean.

I love Miss Shirley’s. One of the best cafes in the state of Maryland. The pancakes, French toast, chicken & waffles, grits, etc. is phenomenal. I love that they change up their menu for special occasions and for the change of the seasons. Five Stars!

Pancakes were a 5/5. Usually the IHOP at Gambrills had a familiar taste to their original pancakes. But this really swang the ball off the ballpark. A weeny bit dry but delicous. If you happen to live in Anne Arundel County, an earlybird or a brunch fanatic, and feeling in a mood for pancakes, then Miss Shirley’s is just for you. I also ordered the Fresh Garden Omelet which was also good. For spicy flavored fans, try add a bit of Tabasco to get a real kick. And the grits… I’ve never had grits before but until I tried it. It tasted like oatmeal mixed with rice. But I did ended up enjoyed it. The biscuit felt it was fresh and hot. The sad part was I didnt got finish all my food but the best part is the pancakes were to die for. At first, I would give it a 4.5 out of 5 but… I’ll be extra nice today and give the reputation Miss Shirley’s deserved. Even if you don’t live near the Annapolis area, still… come on down to Miss Sherly’s Cafe for the best brunch you ever have. However there are no early reservation in advanced and there are open from 8am to 3pm. No dinner is served.
