I have been worshiping mikuni’s since 2002. The food is always amazing. Had my dog in my car and for some reason a employee felt the dog was overheating. She decided to throw water everywhere in my car multiple times because she thought the dog was hot. It was 9:00 at night and we just had come from the lake. The dog was still wet. All the windows were down that’s why she could stick her hand in my truck to throw the water everywhere. Totally uncalled for. The manager did nothing. He didn’t even come over to our table to say. I will never go back.

Unfortunately, out of all the locations I’ve frequented over the past 20 years, the Roseville store is consistently sub par. I debated going to The Fountains instead but due to time constraints, thought I’d give Roseville one last try. I was sadly disappointed. The BBQ Tuna (albacore) that, at every other location, is always like butter in my mouth, was overcooked. I debated sending it back but thought better of it for fear of behind the scenes repercussions. So I choked my way through until I couldn’t do it again. I did make the manager aware of the quality issue coming out of his kitchen. He simply said that I should’ve let him know sooner, he would’ve had it remade. No thanks. I also ordered one of my favorite rolls, the Hangover Roll. It was “meh.” The chef skimped on the creamy sauce and it was much more compact than other stores. Trying to cut back on costs? I don’t know why! These two items and a glass of water were $38. For one person. Disappointing.

Great restaurant! Came highly recommended from Locals and I see why. They were out of one of the items we wanted but otherwise wide selection. My boss introduced me to a salmon skin hand roll, will order ever time moving forward.

Food: It was just alright, but the cost makes it lose another star. The udon soup was bland and the chicken in it was overcooked. Sushi was average. Pot stickers were good. Dishes had some stuff on it as well, probably from drying them with a towel. I had to wipe them with a napkin.

Took my baby girl and my friend for dinner last night, I’ve always heard amazing things about mikuni’s and have wanted to try it for years now. I am Hawaiian born and raised so I definitely know my way around seafood & raw fish I know what’s good and what’s not good. Nothing was edible that came to the table. We ordered drinks and appetizers and about after 30 minutes, my daughter got her entree. I asked if we could please get our drinks and appetizers before my daughters meal since our meals were not out yet, they didn’t even respond just took the sushi away. About 30 minutes later we finally received our drinks and appetizers and as soon as we did here comes my daughter’s food and the raw fish was warm. Obviously it had been sitting out for 30 minutes while they waited for appetizers to get ready. A waitress came and sat a bowl of edamame on our table and I said we did not order that, she did not say she was sorry she did not apologize, she did not even make eye contact she quickly picked the bowl off the table and went and yelled at the server who took our order. We were finally able to get the right appetizer but by this time we are pretty much ready to go. Took over 45 minutes for my daughter to get a Cherry Coke all for her to drink it halfway through, and for the waiter to come over and say oh Ice-T refill? And fill her Cherry Coke up the rest of the way with Ice-T

Attentive service and superb food! Easy to order exactly what you want, they are very flexible and accommodating, which is helpful when you have food restrictions. Prices similar to other sushi places.

Showed up at 9p for a late dinner. Sat at the bar but was a little surprised that they were starting the end of night clean up. It felt unwelcoming.
