This place is inside the Food Lab in downtown Riverside by the Fox theater. It’s a great place to have Mexican food for all types of diets. I was able to get my sopes made vegan and they were well done. I added salsa to them since I didn’t have the dairy cream. I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of tortilla chips included. They were crispy and fresh with hot salsa included.

The asada tacos are the only good thing they got going, food wise. Avoid the carreta dog. The bun falls apart and is too thick. Use a normal bun.

Feel kinda bad to say this but also I don’t because the disappointment was too much. I ordered a fish taco and it tasted like nothing. My water bottle probably had more flavor than this. It’s suppose to be an “authentic Chicano” restaurant but I’m pretty sure this is a disgrace to Chicanos out there. The picture looks awesome and I know because I was excited when I received it but man, the looks deceive.

First off, the food. My go to method of judging a mexican restaurant is the Al Pastor. I got a taco which had a lot of meat especially for the street taco sized corn tortilla. Very delicious and an easy five stars. I also had the Pina drink which was pricey but also very good.

Not coming back. Rude waitress. I’m not from around and when I asked the difference between the meats, she responded with soooo much attitude. I couldn’t believe it. The food wasn’t great either

Tried a handful of different things and over all just not impressed. We had pork taquitos, pork belly taco, milanesa torta, chips & guac and pineapple agua fresca. The best things were the agua and the chips with guacamole. The taquitos are served with guacamole but NOT the same guac served with the chips; too bad because that guac was not good. The food really didn’t have any flavor, the salsa tasted like it came from a jar. The pork belly was crispy but again, no flavor; the corn tortilla was good. The milanesa on the torta was nice and crisp and…. You guessed it no flavor. Long story short, not worth the price; wife didn’t even finish her taquitos and my son only finished the torta so as not to be wasteful. There’s way better Mexican food to be found in Riverside at a much better price.

My girlfriend and I discovered this spot a couple months ago and have been hooked every since! Their meat has incredible flavor, try the pastor tacos you won’t be disappointed! Their guacamole and micheladas are also incredible. My girlfriend is a vegetarian and they have several high quality options that taste very good! This place has always given us great service and great food, try it out yourself.

Had the flaming hot cheeto taco it was surprisingly pretty good. I had the nachos with fries, basically carne asada fries, it was pretty darn good. They put the cotija cheese and the fried cheese on top, it was pretty good. The red salsa is flavorful and almost perfect. The only complaints i would have is that the service isnt spectacular (its just like some guy at the register), and that they give you such a small cup of beer.

The hard shell tacos (for the birria, no less) were served in store-bought, flavorless taco shells; with very little room for the filling. The chips and guac were – surprise! – store-bought chips, too. I’ve had better tacos at Baker’s and for WAY less than this place charges. Disappointed!
