We dined in for the first time this evening for my best friends birthday and we had an awesome experience! The servers and staff were all very kind- some of the waitstaff are young and are definitely getting the hang of things, but they are all so sweet so be patient and kind! I mention this because I overheard a woman complaining about one of the server’s English and him being a little slower- try to remember your first job and cut the kids a break- everyone starts somewhere! The food was absolutely excellent. Between all of us, we had a few different taco salads, burrito, and the fajita nachos. The portions are large, the flavors are super authentic, and the food presentation overall was great! We also had a few margaritas- the mango in particular was AWESOME and even had real mango in the frozen one. The restaurant is very clean, and the location is beautiful. They also sang for the birthday girl and brought us some awesome tres leches cake! I hope people stop comparing them to Foggy Rock and let them make a name for themselves! We will definitely be back.

This was our first visit to Mexican Rock since it opened. We were very pleased with our visit. The atmosphere is pleasant. It is well lit without being bright while the wall art and accents add to the whole theme. We were promptly seated when we arrived and chips and salsa came to the table shortly after. Our server was friendly and fun and came to the table at appropriate times to get drinks, dinner orders and to deliver the check. The value of the food is great and we enjoyed the flavor of our items. We ordered an ACP, Tacos Chorizo and a Chorizo Quesadilla.

Great music, decor, and atmosphere. We had the Speedy Gonzales lunch special which comes with a taco, enchilada, and choice of rice or beans. I thought the food overall was great. The sauce on the enchilada was superb. The salsa and chips were typical. I like mine a bit more chunky. The beef could use some seasoning and the beans could use more flavor, but other than that, we thought it was delicious. My dad said his chile relleno was the best he’s ever had. The service was also quick. We will definitely be back!

We had an amazing experience at Mexican Rock! Staff is very friendly and attentive! The food is wonderful starting with excellent chips and salsa and then great tacos! Very energizing authentic atmosphere. We had been regulars at Foggy Rock and were disappointed when the Myers decided to move on. But trust me, the new owners at Mexican Rock are so committed and working very hard to make this new concept a wonderful experience!! And it was! So I encourage you to try it soon! You will not be disappointed!

Can not review the food because we never got any. We watched at least 3 other tables get seated and served after we were seated. After over an hour and being told it would be another 15 minutes we gave up and left very hungry and Very disappointed.

Best outdoor seating in the state. Not a typical Mexican restaurant. Nowhere have I eaten this quality of Mexican food. Far outshines competition. Give it a test. You will be as surprised as we were.

Second on the wait list when we arrived – told 20 minutes – seated 40 minutes later. Ordered fairly promptly after being seated, but then waited almost an hour for food to be served. Waiter didn’t come by the table to check in even once during that time! When food was served it was not all served at once – two of the plates were a good 5-10 minutes after the first three. One of the meals was not as ordered, but no way we sent it back as we had no idea how long it might take to replace. Chips and salsa are mediocre at best. Food was pretty good, but definitely not worth the wait. This place is new, but even a new restaurant should have better service than this. Hoping they get their act together. We likely won’t try again for a while- especially if we are tight on time!!
