This place has me torn. I absolutely love the food but half the time I call they don’t answer no matter what time of day it is. Then expanding off that when they do answer half the time I get a dub packed to the gills with food. The other half it seems like they put the bare minimum in to call it “acceptable” and send it to me. Ive received my food in 20 mins and I’ve waited almost 2 hours. Overall I find them to be worth it but buyer beware

The restaurant is fantastic when it’s open. Food is great. Problem is it never actually seems to be open anymore. They were closed for summer so that was totally understandable but it’s been a week since Grand Valley reopened for the school year and the Allendale location still isn’t open. Either that or the phone is disconnected. The schedule on google says it ought to be open but when I call I get nothing but a busy signal. Every single time I call I get a busy signal and they have nothing on their website letting students know that the restaurant is closed or when it will be open. No answering machine, just a busy signal with no explanation. This is unprofessional. If this were fixed, would rate 5 stars.

Time for a novel, everyone! Disclaimer: I take food very seriously, so my rating could be seen as biased. If you don’t feel like reading all of this, then the short version is: this food is as good as sex, but sometimes you can’t get it; that’s a problem, since the food is not actual sex, and you should be able to get it when you want it.

Service, food, and atmosphere were not that great. I didn’t even know anybody else worked there until about 5 minutes after I placed my order. The mac and cheese bites that came out nearly a half hour later were rather disappointing. For $6 I expected it to not taste like $1 frozen mac and cheese. The soda machine looks horrendous. They started to play a good Sufjan Stevens song but quickly changed it to forgettable hip hop music. I guess I should not have expected more from this ‘joint’.

Love the food! Enjoy eating their dubs! Only problem is 4 out of the 5 times I’ve gone there they are closed! It seems the hours keep changing and I can’t keep up with it! Very frustrating! I’ve been craving their food but have not been able to get it the last 4 time’s I tried going there!!

Good food, service with a smile, but pretty expensive. Also, idk if they changed music policy or what, but last time I went in, the music was WAY TOO LOUD. I could hardly hear the guy at the register at all! I shouldn’t have to shout to get my order in or risk a migraine to get some munchies.

I would just like to say that mennas joint is a very great place to get food, and being an employee here I would like to address some previous issues discussed. Be aware that we aren’t ignoring your phone calls sometimes they don’t come through, and if we are really slow on certain night we will shut down early so that may be why our times say 3am but we closed at 1 or 2. You have to remember that most of the employees working here our college students dealing with just as much credits at 75% of our customers. Customer satisfaction is our number 1 priority.

The day is Friday, 2/7/2015 and I have called over 9 times and the phone rang until the busy signal. According to the website they are open until 4 am. I don’t see any mention online of them closing down…At least a message would be appreciated.

I visited to get a waui dub on a tuesday night and I was not greeted by the staff when I entered. They looked pissed and the atmosphere is dark and gloomy. The food was good. I wasn’t thanked for stopping in either. Go somewhere else where you can get friendlier service.
