This place is fantastic. Best Cuban Sandwich since I lived in Miami. Chirs is a champ, he was able to crank out orders like a seasoned veteran. Prices are good and the Joe’s 1/2 & 1/2 Tea was delicious. 5/5 Stars will definitely be back. (Been back multiple times and still not disappointed)

Delicious food and great service! This is a must visit if you’re looking for a sandwich because it’s more than just grilled cheese. It’s right next to sims park in DT NPR and you can take your food right on down to the water and eat your lunch amongst the beautiful nature and water. I love supporting small businesses especially when they are good and this is one of them!

Hidden gem of downtown NPR! I had the Angry Pig which is smoked ham, bacon, melted pepper jack, and blueberry compote. Perfection! Loved the potato salad on the side. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful view of the Hacienda hotel.

A one man show but wow what a great sandwich. We ordered the BLT, a Cuban and the Big Cheese. Order took a bit to put together but a 10 minute wait while the guy was slammed is not really a problem. Only wish I had thought to grab some photos before we devoured everything!

Absolutely love their sandwiches!! I meant to post about them the second time I had gone there, but I always end up focusing on eating and forgetting to review. I’ve only ever gotten the Hawaiian Pua’a, and it’s not because the other sandwiches aren’t good, it’s because they honestly have the best version of this type of sandwich around here. Their’s has become my favorite, however, my friend had the Cuban and according to him it was really, REALLY good. But I do not have a picture of that one because he ate into before I could get a picture. Then my father has had the philly and I know he absolutely loves philly’s, and according to him it was quite delicious. My brother has also had one of their sandwiches, he had the 3 sisters and he said it was the ultimate grilled cheese sandwich. Next time I go, I will try to restrain myself from getting my favorite and explore the other options. Outside of this, the service has always been efficient and nice, the atmosphere is very laid back and relaxed, and they have a decent variety of sodas/pop, chips and other sides that you can buy along with your sandwich. Also, I personally love how it’s connected to the ice cream shop next to it, they had become our go to anytime we are at Sim’s park: sandwich and pop, and then some ice cream to snack on as we walk.

I ordered the Philly and the bread was good and toasted with the cheese. The meat tasted more roasted beef which is not cooked when ordered. Like a traditional Philly. They don’t even mix the onions with with cheese so be prepared to eat a roasted beef with raw onions and peppers. I will never buy this again.

I really like this place. I love the small mom & pop type places with good food and service. Been here 2x and got the Angry Pig both times. I bragged about the place and decided to treat a group of 5 to get sandwiches for lunch. When we walked in, the shop was already full with at least 7 people in front of us. The lady was working by herself (taking orders, cashing out and making food). We understood the situation and didn’t mind waiting. This is the ONLY problem – I watched her make about 15 sandwiches while simultaneously taking cash payments, credit card payments handling other related equipment all while wearing the same latex gloves. It used to be that gloves were worn to protect the food and to keep food clean, now it seems that people wear gloves to keep themselves clean. It is difficult for me to go back after seeing the lack of concern for people’s food. If I hadn’t been with a group, I would have walked out long before placing our order but I didn’t want to ruin it for everyone else.

Seems like I came by on an off day, based on the other reviews. I ordered a sandwich off the menu (can’t remember which). Service was friendly, and the drinks selection nice, but I found the sandwich itself to be dry. Either they forgot to put in a sauce of some kind, or they have some dry sandwiches on their menu.

Great little spot downtown. I had the Algie Bloom, it was absolutely delightful. The sandwiches are pretty generous in size.. definitely had to bring half my sandwich home! The little helping of potato salad was pretty good as well, small but tasty. Overall great little spot to grab a quick lunch.
