McGlynns Pub – Pike Creek is always a solid choice, just like the Glasgow location. The pub food is consistently good, the beer selection is awesome, and the service is usually very good as well. It’s an easy, reliable spot whether you’re meeting friends or grabbing a casual meal before heading out. Just like the other McGlynns, it never disappoints for what it is.

My party visited on a Friday night in January. The bar area was about 3/4ths full but the tables and booths were mostly available. Our server was quick to get our drink orders which consisted of some beers, soda, and water. Initially the noise level was pretty low but soon the music (hard rock) started and it did get a bit louder but not so much that having a conversation was hard. I ordered the turkey Dijon on a pretzel roll with sweet potatoes fries and the rest of my table mixed it up with sandwiches and more entre style meals. The food was great and was brought out around twenty minutes after ordering. The server was very attentive, checking on us every 5-10 minutes. When we were leaving (around 8 pm) the place had filled up quite a bit more but there was still plenty of seating.

Everything about this place is amazing!!! Natalie our server was so kind and offered specials and personal opinions on her favorite dishes. I mentioned it was the night before my birthday and she decorated our dessert with a happy birthday message!!! Thank you so much Natalie for making our experience great. Also the food was REALLY good. Burger was juicy, fried mozzarella huge, ice cream sandwich even bigger…honestly so impressed

I ordered the crab cakes platter. It cost $30. When it was put in front of me I almost died! I was expecting 2 heaps of crab & what I got was coaster size crab cake PATTIES! Both were not any thicker than “1/4 inch” and as flat as a pancake! My jaw dropped! They are really stingy with their food & charge too much!

I normally like the vibe, but on a Friday night, you need some kind of entertainment before 9:30 pm. The place emptied last Friday and there was nothing until we were about to leave. We were leaving because it was dead. The DJ, who has filled that place before til close and had the dance floor full, did not start until 9:30. By then, the energy was zapped and not many were even paying attention. We left very disappointed. It’s understandable some nights business is going to be slow. In this case, the place was packed when we arrived at 8 pm. We expected that. We did not expect the place to clear out and the energy to drop before any entertainment had a chance to get there. Entertainment on a Friday and Saturday night starts earlier in other establishments. Most have at least a DJ by 8. You’re missing opportunities by starting something at 9:30. We felt bad for the DJ. We won’t be back unless the schedule for some kind of entertainment starts earlier. You’ve got an older crowd in there quite often. People are not going to stay until 9 or 9:30 waiting for music.

Really strangely run place. There’s always like 5 young workers standing around doing nothing while blocking the way to move around the outside of the bar at all times. Bar is always sticky. Tabs are inaccurate way too often. The newer bartenders are mostly nice but the ones that have been there a while are miserable and have forgotten basic sanitation. You don’t stick your fingers inside customers glasses especially after you’ve been touching everything else behind the bar in a dirty place. Management doesn’t do anything about any of this stuff. They just watch and let it happen. I don’t recommend.

Food was yummy and the portions were large. Our waitress was super friendly, but it definitely could have been better. It wasn’t crowded, so we had little wait to be seated. We did have to wait a while for the food but the wait was worth it.

Well, unfortunately our favorite wing place has not escaped the employment struggles it seems. We are frequent McGlynn’s Pub fans and have been for years. Last night may have changed that. We arrived at 6pm for the special wing night on Wednesdays and were seated in the back room. The place was busy as usual but it became clear by the look on the waitress faces that we were in for a disappointing night. I won’t drag on but, the wings were literally uneatable. Burnt to a crisp, terrible taste, dead cold along with the fries. After a long wait we asked for a second batch that were “less done” and received more of the same. No refills as it took the waitress 15- 20 mins to come back to our seats. replacement fries were decent and so was my glass of water. I gotta say this is the first time I actually could not eat the food at a place. Picture is of the “replacement” wings that were supposed to be less done. Waitress was nice it clearly wasn’t her fault. I asked if they had a new cook or something and she said they only had one person working the fryer.

Pike Creek’s best bartender and hand-cut fries that’ll make you give up keto.

I’ve loved this place for 18 years. I always visit when I’m in state. Good food and drinks, neighborhood bar atmosphere with a shockingly good menu.
