One of our new favorite places due to the fact we just discovered it. The food is always full of flavor and delicious. Margaritas are some of the best we’ve had. We love going for a later bite with their reverse happy hour beginning at 8 pm. Staff is friendly and welcoming and provides a fun environment in addition to the cute patio and decor.

This is a delicious Mexican restaurant. The food is fresh and unique. I ordered chicken enchiladas and had the choice of red, green or cheese sauce and also choice of corn or flour tortillas. I opted for green and cheese sauces and it was very good. The green is a bit spicy and plays well off the creamy cheese sauce. The chicken was all white meat. We sat on the patio and enjoyed all the flowers and plants. We will be going back!

We had a very rude waitress. I asked several times for a refill, but she ignored me. The lady who brought us our lunch was very nice! The food is pricey, however absolutely delicious!!

Wow, what a hidden gem in Elkhorn. The food was exquisite, fresh, and very flavorful. Kudos! This was our first visit and will be making this a regular on our list. The server was awesome and provided very insightful and helpful recommendations.

Phenomenal place to have dinner. Really great and refreshing to have authentic Mexican food. Not too overpowering in any particular flavor – everything was super balanced. I ordered the Burrito Mojado and it was “knock your socks off” delicious. Will 100% come back!

First time dining here at lunch today. Service was good and portions were large (sharable), but prices were pretty high. Quac and chips (lacked salt) were over $16, fried ice cream (good coating but low quality ice cream) over $10. Most Entrees were over $20. Our total bill was over $80 for 3 people (1 appetizer, 2 entrees, 1 dessert, and 3 soft drinks). Nice covered patio for dining outdoors. Disappointed that no chips and salsa offered. Overall food was on par with other Mexican restaurants, but prices will keep us from returning.

We visited Maximo’s for the first time tonight and had the best experience. They were able to seat us right away even without a reservation. The food was amazing!! Fresh and perfectly seasoned, easily the best Mexican we’ve had in Omaha. Table service was top-notch, including immediately replacing a plate that inadvertently had a non-GF item. That attention to detail combined with the food will make us regulars!

The food was mostly terrible. We got the chicken fajitas with rice and beans. The chicken, rice and beans all tasted like they were cooked in very salty chicken bouillon. We got a chicken quesadilla which would have been fine, but it had very cheap quality shredded chicken, which again tasted like it had been boiled in chicken bouillon and the tortillas were cheap, non authentic quality. I couldn’t eat the quesadilla so I ordered veggie nachos. The beans tasted like chicken bouillon, the cheese wasn’t real, it was like off brand Velveeta and the weirdest part was that the veggies were broccoli, corn and mushrooms. Ugh, the smell coming off of it when I lifted the nucleus of the nachos, was god-awful. Chips and salsa cost extra, the red salsa tastes like cumin, the green salsa was decent. The service was great and they so kindly removed the quesadilla from our check. If you want anything anywhere close to authentic Mexican food I would advise against eating here. The 2 other tables seemed to be enjoying their tacos and alcohol, so if that’s your thing, it might be better than what we chose.

It’s Aug 5th 2023. We’ve eaten at Maximo’s before, always outside, and it’s always great food. Today, the whole family had the pork carnitas special – honestly the best pork I’ve ever eaten, ever. Our waitress Lisa was amazing as well. The menu is a bit higher priced than other Me i an restaurants, but the food is great. The flour tortillas chips with salsa are also great.
