Great food. The enchiladas Maximo’s, the chille rellenos, shrimp tacos and birria tacos are all great. The queso and guacamole is delicious too. Venue is fun and Kathy our waitress was very good. Highly recommend giving this place a try.

Went there on a week night. Plenty of seating. Clean place. Waiter got order wrong and instead of just bringing out new enchiladas, he took my entire plate back. Probably should change that process. Nonetheless, food was good. Not an over abundance of food on platter, just average. It was pretty expensive but there are probably not a lot of Mexican restaurants in Elkhorn. Make sure you are aware of prices before you go. See pics of menu and food.

First time here in a few years. Probably won’t go back, even though we live 1 mile away. Went during happy hour due to dinner menu prices being very expensive ! I was very surprised their house marg was just ‘ok’. Nachos were good, not great. Atmosphere and service was great! Very over-priced- Maria’s in Ralston is sooooo much better!!

Very friendly and attentive service! I had a fish taco and a shrimp taco both very good but $7 for one taco a bit much!! I also had a spicy margarita , again very good but small for $15!! They also charge for chips and salsa!?!

We were headed to a different restaurant for lunch but they happened to be closed and we looked for something nearby. Maximo’s popped up and I am SO glad it did! The waitress was great, even with a busy area and appeared to be the only waitress she kept up and kept her cool. Food was amazing specially the enchiladas and queso dip. The flour tortillas were delicious and I cleaned my plate! It was a happy accident and now one of my favorite places that I cannot wait to go back to.

Has a nice patio and that’s about it. The hostess wasn’t nice by any means, but wasn’t rude. We were seated and it took awhile for our waiter to come to us. When he did we ordered some margaritas. I ordered mine with chamoy and tajin on the rim. He then asked me with salt or sugar. I again asked for chamoy and tajin. We ordered chips with cheese and salsa. They do not give you chips and salsa like most places. You have to order it and pay for it. My drink comes, has tajin on it but no chamoy. I didn’t say anything about it. Chips and cheese were average. Their salsa was really tomato-y with a slight vinegar taste. We ordered the stuffed Chille Relleno a fish taco and a carnitas taco. The chille relleno was supposed to be stuffed with pork and served with rice and beans. It came out with only rice on the plate. I asked the waiter who said it was either one or the other. I pointed out the menu where it states rice AND beans. As he went to get them I cut into the chili which was supposed to be stuffed with carnitas , but came out with what looked like boiled & shredded chicken. It was flavorless, but gross. The fish taco – was very bland. The carnitas taco – it was just ok. Nothing special. The waiter came back and I pointed the chile was made wrong and that we weren’t pleased with the place. I told him it was our first time and last time here. The interior of the place is dirty and unkept. I wish I had taken a pic of the bathroom and kitchen area that I could see. It was definitely a 1 and done. I’d rather eat day old peanut butter & jelly than come back to this place.

Very good and authentic Mexican restaurant located in downtown Elkhorn!
The atmosphere is good with a bunch of Mexican themed decorations, Mexican music playing and a good number of TVs showing sports.
The entrance is a little weird as you enter through the patio but that was very nice as the weather was perfect to sit outside.
Maximos is definitely on the expensive side when it comes to Mexican food, but it’s well worth it as all dishes are prepared fresh with fresh and high quality ingredients.
Service was basic but good. Overall it was a great experience and we will be back.

One of our new favorite places due to the fact we just discovered it. The food is always full of flavor and delicious. Margaritas are some of the best we’ve had. We love going for a later bite with their reverse happy hour beginning at 8 pm. Staff is friendly and welcoming and provides a fun environment in addition to the cute patio and decor.

The food was mostly terrible. We got the chicken fajitas with rice and beans. The chicken, rice and beans all tasted like they were cooked in very salty chicken bouillon. We got a chicken quesadilla which would have been fine, but it had very cheap quality shredded chicken, which again tasted like it had been boiled in chicken bouillon and the tortillas were cheap, non authentic quality. I couldn’t eat the quesadilla so I ordered veggie nachos. The beans tasted like chicken bouillon, the cheese wasn’t real, it was like off brand Velveeta and the weirdest part was that the veggies were broccoli, corn and mushrooms. Ugh, the smell coming off of it when I lifted the nucleus of the nachos, was god-awful. Chips and salsa cost extra, the red salsa tastes like cumin, the green salsa was decent. The service was great and they so kindly removed the quesadilla from our check. If you want anything anywhere close to authentic Mexican food I would advise against eating here. The 2 other tables seemed to be enjoying their tacos and alcohol, so if that’s your thing, it might be better than what we chose.

Had dinner here last night. The portions are great. Wife got a peach margarita that was very good. My photo and dinner choice was a chimichanga. Ended up taking half home with me, so much food. No complaints. Dinner for 2 adults with a drink each and a child came to around 75 dollars.
