Maria’s Kitchen is delicious and affordable! I was passing through town to visit the nearby state park and found this local joint. The workers inside were very nice and the entire place was compliant with mask mandates and COVID safety. Unfortunately, they were out of the homemade tamales that sounded really good, but I’ll be sure to swing by next time I’m around for those. I ordered a steak burrito, elote, and a pork torta, along with their horchata. Everything was delicious!

Tamale bowl – smothered- sort of a Chicago hotdog style Chile cheese and onion’s over tamales. Gave it a try and very different but good would eat again and recommend!
