The hype is REAL! Food was tasty and satisfying. Real authentic Mexican Food. Steak tacos homemade hot tamales, steak burger and hotdog was our order. Delicious! The place was trendy and homely. Spanish Vibes with the bright colors and beautiful wall art. Tyler and Aiden were awesome guys. Aiden greeted my kid and I as soon as we entered the establishment. Tyler took our order and boy! Did he make me want thee entire menu! The smell of the flavorful food hit you right at the doorway and as we sat and waited the food tasted as good as it smelt! Go check ‘em out! Will not be disappointed.

When I visited Chicago last week, my car broke down on the highway, and I happened to stop at a Mexican restaurant called Maria’s Kitchen. The staff was extremely welcoming. When I explained that I don’t eat red meat and one of us was vegetarian, the staff member patiently explained each item on the menu and customized everything according to the spice level we requested. She also provided extra house-special hot sauce, which was excellent. I had the best Mexican food in a long time and would highly recommend this place.

Italian beef wasn’t anything to write home about, not dipped enough very little beef, it is a Mexican restaurant so I’ll try Mexican food next time. Update: the taco’s…. All I can say is there’s a place next door to a Chinese restaurant that is 10 times better on the same street just a block south, the thing is is they’re sooooo nice at Maria’s and I think that’s why they get so many good reviews besides people out here are also used to bland food as well…Mexican and Mediterranean are my two favorite foods I’ve eaten them everywhere and I could pass on their tacos as well. Don’t think I’ll be back.

Maria’s Kitchen is delicious and affordable! I was passing through town to visit the nearby state park and found this local joint. The workers inside were very nice and the entire place was compliant with mask mandates and COVID safety. Unfortunately, they were out of the homemade tamales that sounded really good, but I’ll be sure to swing by next time I’m around for those. I ordered a steak burrito, elote, and a pork torta, along with their horchata. Everything was delicious!
There were picnic tables outside and I felt comfortable and safe to eat outside (this is during COVID times). The worker was so kind and brought an umbrella to stick in the picnic table so it was shaded. He brought out the trays of food to us outside, as well. The service was so helpful and I had a wonderful afternoon.
They not only have a variety of Mexican food, but also American fast food, as well. Everything from Italian beef to mozzarella sticks. So delicious and pleasant! Bring cash if you can. Thanks for a fun afternoon!

This is a great stop in Manteno illinois! The owner is very nice. The steak tacos they have here are one of the best in town! There’s a wide variety of food to choose from there are inside seats and there’s delivery and pick up!

It’s not everyday one comes across a diamond in the ruff, but boy I’ll tell you. Great food awesome staff. The owner seems like he is always smiling…the door consistently opening. I must have seen 8 people come in to pick up food. Not to mention the place was packed. This place is now our go to. Keep up the great work. Will recommend.

So delicious!!! We had the steak torta and loaded nachos. Everything was fresh, hot, and delicious. Try the salsa on the torta! The perfect amount of heat and flavor. You can also order sodas, including Green River (my favorite) in bottles which is fun and retro! Everyone was super friendly the service was and super fast! We will definitely be back!!!
