A cozy place tucked in the neighbourhood of Mateire. Easily identifiable from the highway. Next to Holiday Inn and Sheraton hotels. Friendly people in the diner. Food menu is pretty much expansive especially for non-vegetarians. Vegetarian too have their share of variety. Taste is near about authentic Indian. Their breads are good. Dishes are average. Liked their saag paneer. Veg/chicken dinner are good. Veg korma was disappointing with partially cooked veggies. Attracts a lot of crowd.

The food was ok, but it was not as good as it was hyped up to be. The food good but not as flavorful as I had hoped. On the other hand, the service was fantastic. The focus on the customer was remarkable and worth going back for.

This is my “go to” restaurant for delicious Indian food! The staff are always kind and friendly to my kids & I when we visit. The restaurant isn’t super colorful & vibrant but still offers a comfortable, cozy setting. The food is very good and the portions are bigger than other Indian restaurants I’ve visited around Metairie. My favorite dishes are the curry (fish or shrimp) & the vegetable pakora appetizer…sooo tasty! I’d highly recommend this place!

This was possibly the best Indian food I’ve ever had. We got the samosa chat that was amazing, the butter chicken, shahi korma, and garlic naan. The shahi korma was my favorite and such a unique flavor. Portions were big and fairly priced.

I went for Sunday lunch with my wife. She was beyond thrilled at how many lamb dishes are on the menu, and she chose the lamb biryani with a medium spice level. I chose the Shahi Paneer, again with medium spice. Because of the creamy sauce, my dish was actually much milder to the palette than the biryani, which was dry (not a criticism) and on the edge of firey. My wife was enjoying the tamarind sauce (which came with the pappadum) with the biryani, and was a little disappointed when it was whisked away by a slightly over-zealous waitress trying to keep the table clear. My pulao rice was done perfectly and the quantity was also well matched to my paneer dish. The plain paratha that we also ordered was a very pleasant surprise: These are so often oily and bland, but this one was flaky, tasty, and served very prettily.

Very tasty, we ordered Malai Kofta, Shahi Paneer, Yellow Daal (a little too thick IMO), and Naan Basket but substituted plain naan to roti. Good size portions for all, plus jeera rice comes with all entrees. Good value, we’ll be back most definitely!

Let’s start with good points. The price was reasonable and the quality of the food was really good. Few of my friends had recommended this place, so when I was at New Orleans I went there for dinner with my friends. We were so hungry that we ordered our food with no delay and the service was quick.

The food was so okay, however, I was afraid to eat it due to the many fruit flies that visited our table and booth. It seriously made me wonder about the integrity of the food. If there are this many bugs flying around in the dining area, how many more are in the kitchen? We inspected our plates very carefully.

First let start by saying I was not a big fan of Indian food, but I am however been swayed to the Hindu side of eating. There are so many spices and taste going on in this food. My palate was so exhausted trying to keep up. Thank you Divya for letting me and my friends experience for a short time the taste of India. The meal and service was excellant.

Very busy for a Tuesday evening. We were seated quickly and food came out quick. Prices were reasonable. Just not craving more – like we usually do at other places – but overall not bad.
