I am in totally disbelief of the service and the food in this establishment. I ordered a very simple dish since I have never been here but I’ve had this dish elsewhere. First off walking in the place I was wondering were they going out of business. There were boxes all over the place in chairs on tables open closed boxes the counter was cluttered as.well there were no other customers so it was a bit odd but my husband and I were hungry. I ordered chicken egg foo young I ve had numerous places in the past so.i figured it’s simple, well what a disgrace. The etiquette is horrible for customers to dine in. The egg foo young arrived looking like dry hockey pucks w a tiny bowl of what was to be gravy. Clearly whoever made it was a amateur I had no intention of eating I broke it open with my fork out curiosity. Wow unbelievable I advised I did not want and the waitress got offended and I told her I’ve never seen this dish look this way she got very rude and told me I had to pay for it regardless even tho I did not eat it. The tables are NOT set for indoor dining very unorganized I asked for soy sauce for the rice was given 2 packets. Can I tell you this is the worst establishment I’ve ever encountered in Rockland.

Would give it less than one if that were possible. We ordered beef szechuan from there yesterday and the beef was well beyond out of date. It was rancid. We had to throw it out after one bite. It would have made me very ill at the least and put my husband in the hospital with his health problems. Used to like this place. Won’t be ordering from there again.

Been going here for years. Food was fantastic, never a bad meal.Not the case now. Ordered food January 15, 2023 for 3 of us. Chicken was like rubber, shrimp toast so overcooked it was like biting on a brick, egg drop soup was dark and tasted horrible. Nothing was enjoyable or edible. Called immediately and told them and that I want a refund. Was told to come in Tuesday since they were closed Monday. Brought everything back and was given a refund. It was freezing in the place, workers and owner wearing their jackets (it was warmer outside!). The place itself was very dimly lit and looked like a dump. New owners need to get a cook who knows how to cook edible food, they won’t last long and that would be a blessing! Definitely not going there again, one horrible experience is enough!! Had to give one star so I could post this, this place is now a minus 10!

I have lived in New city for 41 years. This was the definitive last Chinese place to go in town up until the pandemic hit.Even during the pandemic I went often and got lunch to go. Recently the ownership changed in December. Horrible food now. Chefs are different and they do not speak English. They can’t make chicken and broccoli anymore or shrimp and lobster sauce. Basic meals. The sauce is different. Taste is off. I will give it maybe one more shot but I will straight up and tell the owners to fire the chef for making inedible food or sell to previous female owner or even the owner before that. The past two were great owners. If not this place will go out of business with its current food.

This restaurant is a disgrace!! My husband received the incorrect order and was verbally abused. The owner was screaming obscenities to the point where the restaurant emptied out. He also tried to meet my husband in the parking lot to fight. No one should ever be treated like this!! Please DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!! They treat their customers horribly!!

What happened to the Mandarin Restaurant I loved for more than 20 years? The people cooking can’t cook food properly at all. The food is greasy gross. It’s horrible in quality. Low quality ingredients and you aren’t sure what you are eating. I won’t be going there. They can’t communicate with you. I was stunned at the horrible cooking of the food. Either overdone or not done enough as well as a mess that looked like they took it out of the garbage can. The food was so disgusting; we couldn’t eat it. If I could give zero stars I would. I also recommend to stay away. It’s not the same restaurant even from just 1 year ago.

I was dropping by this restaurant with 4 other friends yesterday for a routine gathering. The Orange Beef was so well-cooked and delicious. I was also very impressed with their excellent service. My friends and I decide to re-visit it for our New Year’s Celebration next week! I highly recommend it.

If i could give minus one star I would. The worst service ever. The place has really turned into a DUMP. Stay away! Poor communication, over priced, And tasted Oh yea never arrived so how would I even know. The owner refused to refund the charge almost $80.00. I went in person to pick up the order that was 2 hours late…..he refused to re cook the food. The owner argued with me and insisted the order arrived at my house. STAY AWAY
