I have never had Dominican food and I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it. The place was decorated beautifully and it was festive with music. We had an appetizer called Croquetas de Jamón Serrano which was very good. Our dinners were mofongo with chicken and Congri & Ropa Vieja which we enjoyed very much. For dessert we shared Cafe Mamajuana which was pretty on the presentation but a little too sweet for me. We had margaritas as well which was delicious. The only thing I didn’t care for was the young man taking pictures and then coming back later with them in frames trying to sell them to us.

What a wonderful addition to Westchester! Mamajuana Cafe offers a lively, attractive dining area and bar, couple with an interesting menu that is well executed. We started with some creative cocktails (Mama Pisco and an Island Spritz) before moving on to appetizers. The Spicy Tuna Concon was an interesting take on sushi that really worked. Served on crisp rice with spicy tuna, micro greens and jalapena, we enjoyed every bite. The chicken empanadas were good, too, but fairly standard. For our entrees we had Mofongo with shrimp, Congri & Ropa Vieja, and Chao Fan. All were delicious! Service was prompt and pleasant.

First time at Mamajuana and my experience was phenomenal. There was live music, the food was amazing and our bartender Dominic was just on point with the drinks and service. Can’t wait to go back again. Highly recommend this restaurant.

VERY limited menu. There wasn’t even basic chicken rice and beans as an option. There is no sangria either. The decor and atmosphere is nice though and service. But the food was very limited and over priced.8y

The food is great, and the drinks were on point. The food came out at a good time. I have to say my drink was super cool with smoke and the perfect cold temperature. My waiter was super friendly. I have to say I will be back!

I came here with my mom and we both enjoyed the food and the Mocktails. I had a Shirley Temple which was made perfectly, and my mom loved her drink. We had some appetizers and they were delicious. The place is clean. The environment was inviting I will definitely recommend this place.

Place was busy, music pumping and drinks quiet tasty (besides the shots we waited for more than 10min and recieved warm tequila rather than “something chilled, sweet, tequila based”). Service/hospitality from managers/host/bartenders (3 of them) non-existing during the visit. Neighbors are asking to go for food (not rating the food here), but after the last weekend experience, it might be challenging choice

My girlfriends and I went for the first time today. What a lovely and delicious experience. We literally ordered everything on the menu and the desserts too. Absolutely delicious Our waitress was fantastic too! Thank you! We will be back with others.

Trash. The kankan wasn’t seasoned the pork belly app was cold and dry more like jerky. The skirt steak monfongo wasn’t firm it was more like whipped potatoes swimming in garlic sauce. Do not waste your money here.There are so many better places to eat in Westchester.
