The food was good. We had the eggplant crisp sandwich, grilled cheese, and quiche. The service model was strange at best – all (like at least 5) the employees crammed behind the counter and you do everything from pickup to cleanup. I know that’s what probably one thing that makes this a “marketplace”, but the table we sat at was dirty and we never saw an employee come out from behind the counter to address the tables people were using. The atmosphere felt like New Paltz – like I know what I am getting into and what I am here for, it’s still disorganized, but ok. This rating could easily be a 4 if the tables weren’t dirty and the staff seemed more engaged with everything other than the counter.

Really enjoyed the crab cake salad special today while visiting my son! Crab cakes were excellent and the salad featured avacado, cucumbers, tomatoes, romaine, onion, and a nice light dressing. Highly recommend this place. Tell em Dave sent ya!

Amanda and her staff from Main Course made sure that we had a fantastic weekend. A family reunion, a rehearsal dinner and a beautiful wedding for almost 200 people …everything was perfect. The food, the service , the tent …couldn’t ask for more. Incredibly professional , very tasty and can’t say enough good things about the staff from Main Course . Very fortunate we were able to have them through out the weekend

Food is quite tasty. They have sandwiches and salads. I love the cob salad. It is BYOB. You order and find yourself a table, wait for your name to be called and grab your food. There is always a lot of staff working, but food take 20+min to get. Just be aware of that if your in a rush.

Great place, good food! Please start adding utensils to take out or asking the customer if they need any. I’ve learned to do this now but have had to manage a salad without a fork in the past. Otherwise 5 stars.

Excellent food here. Order at the counter but great dine in atmosphere. Half chicken is one of the best in the country IMO. I have been here and a few times people have said a dish slightly misses the mark….but rarely and that might just be an individual taste thing.

Great food at very reasonable prices. We had French Vanilla Hot Chocolates, dinner plate specials Salmon and Pork Loin, and for dessert, Hazel Chocolate, Coconut Raspberry Cheesecake, a chocolate walnut cookie, and a chocolate on chocolate chip cookie. All were delicious and beautifully presented. In fact the photos don’t do them justice. They were also reasonably priced, at $18 for each entree, I think $3 for cookies, and $7 or less for desserts. I forgot how much the hot choc was. There is no table service, you order at the counter, and pick up food from the counter when you are called. You drop your own trash and dishes, as pictured. Nice place to sit and eat, tastefully decorated with a lighter, brighter main dining area, and a more dimly lit dining area near the counter. Will definitely be back next time we’re in the area!

Just incredible food and amazing daily specials. Main Course is located in a small town but has huge flavors and is a fantastic restaurant by any standard. We’ve been here multiple times over several years, the freshness of ingredients and culinary execution are at the highest levels and has been amazingly consistent.

Pretty good food, not great drinks (bloody Mary was gross, but good margaritas and mimosas) and subpar/nonexistent service. When you check out they have you choose between three ridiculously high tip values. Honestly I think the lowest one was 20% which I wouldn’t be as upset about if not for the fact that they literally don’t do anything. You have to go up to the counter and get your own drinks, get your own food, and carry them back to your table. Then when you’re done with your food you have to bus your own plate, so what am I paying them for? What am I tipping them for? To make the food and take my order? They do that at McDonald’s and nobody expects me to tip them 20%!
