At our Ft Oglethorpe, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Got our order wrong. Was suppose to be 2 platters of Fish and Chicken Meal. We got a half of a piece of chicken instead of 2 full size chicken strips. They gave us both fries instead of okra. Very disappointed to have paid $27 for this.

The food was on point and the restaurant was clean. I needed a fork at one point and the cashier was in the lobby cleaning tables. She heard me say I needed a fork. She told me to stay at the table she went and got me one. They were out in the lobby and she did not have to do that. It was very much appreciated. The staff they have right now does a very good job.

Well the food was better than the last time we decided to eat here around 6 months ago. It would’ve been sooner. The dining area needs some tlc. But the young lady behind the counter was spot on with it all. Didn’t catch her name but it was around 4:30 pm on Wed afternoon. Fish was cooked in fresh oil.

Counter server girl with rivets in her nose got both orders wrong. Pitiful attitude. Clearly didnt want to be there. Constantly looking at her phone. Upcharged for corn on the cob we didn’t order then took the corn back! Jalapeños poppers hard overcooked. Health rating 92 ok but we won’t be back for a long time if ever. Thought after recent remodel might have improved but wrong! Need serious training customer service skills. I try to be a nice and upbeat customer thinking the kids in the Ft O area want to work but there’s still many that have an attitude and just don’t care!

No one Answered the drive through had cars back behind me. Waited about 10 minutes had to go inside to order. I was informed that we would have to wait 20 minutes because they had a big 6 advised them that they need to tell everybody else in line that! Pocket books were on the work counters. They have an issue at this location!!!

We stood at the counter for several minutes before one of the employees in the back noticed us. Perhaps had the music not been so loud, we might have been noticed sooner. I’m not a fan of country music and listening to it full-blast does not improve my feelings for the genre. I noticed several cleanliness issues. The walls, in particular beside the booths, were in desperate need of cleaning. Ketchup and/or cocktail sauce is not a design feature.
