Great and unexpected. Delicious and fresh. Hubs had the lobster roll. I had the crab cake sandwich. We both shared gator bites. Each was better than the last. Super impressed with the chef and options to choose from.

Nice restaurant, almost reminded me of a saloon. Very spacious with adequate seating, no one was seated too close to my table. The service was swift, didn’t wait long for food or drinks. The drinks were very nice, well put together. The food was alright. I had the fried Gator as a starter, they were delicious especially with the honey mustard on the side. For my main, I chose the steak sandwich which was a big mistake. The presentation was poor and the steak was tough and lacked flavor. The item that had a lot of flavor was their hotsauce, even grabbed a bottle for the road.

We were staying in town over night on our way to the beach. Very nice staff and food was AMAZING. We will be back on our way home. We got the alligator blackened, seafood gumbo, and grit cakes. They also have a children’s menu. Must stop in!

Delicious bowl of Seafood Gumbo(and there is NO skimping on ingredients), the delicious hot coffee (which not everyone has), to the Iced Tea, the salad with vinaigrette dressing, the Seafood Casserole which I could take my time about eating because it stayed hot and the pineapple coconut cake with whipped cream to finish. Excellent. Nestled in Waynesville NC, Gateway to the Smokies, lies this excellent Restaurant featuring delicious Seafood and steaks, excellent service(Amy gets 5 stars), and a relaxed atmosphere, including the music Made for an enjoyable dining experience. If I’m in town again I will return. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Maggie’s Galley was a nice surprise! We had to wait (they don’t take reservations) but not long. The service was excellent, the menu varied, the food very good. It’s now on our list of restaurants in Waynesville/Hazelwood to frequent!!

Another great meal at Maggie’s Galley! I was born and raised in Virginia on the Chesapeake Bay and this is some of the best seafood I’ve had. In the Smokies! My go to is always the shrimp and blackened grit cakes unless there’s a special, which there always is. I had the wahoo with crab and mango butter this time. Absolutely gorgeous and delicious. My husband is never disappointed with his standing order of fried oysters. If you’re looking for a great place for a great meal…..look no further. There’s nothing comparable in Waynesville.
