What a hidden gem in the west suburbs! If you are a fan of traditional wisconsin supper clubs this restaurant is definitely worth the stop and you don’t have to drive all the way to WI. Drinks are very reasonably priced, food was great and make sure to leave room for their alcoholic desserts! Great experiance and will go there again.

We had a delicious Wiener schnitzel dinner with mashed potatoes. The beef dumpling soup was hot and delicious. To top off the wonderful dinner, we had a wonderful waitress who was so kind to give our son ice cream as well. Glad we went, we’ve been meaning to try it for so long.

3.5 out of 5 stars for me. Really unique place and has been run for 84 years. We came on a Friday so it was packed plus we waited an extra 20 minutes even though we had a reservation. For decor, I really enjoyed the vintage hunting lodge atmosphere. A true time capsule. This is just like a Wisconsin supper club and most entrees come with soup, salad and bread with big portions. Enjoyed the french onion soup, salad with creamy garlic dressing and the brandy ice for dessert. For the entree, I had the Vienna Platter. The duck was excellent but the wiener schnitzel was tough as hell. Also, our server barely checked on us. Didn’t offer to refill our waters, ask us if we wanted to order more cocktails and neglected to even ask us how our food was. Overall it was a positive experience and I would return but would hope for better service.

The foods great, reasonable. The staff is super friendly and they all have a great time with the regulars. Speaking of the regulars, it’s great group of people, super friendly and inclusive. Everyone really makes you feel at home. I recommend sitting at the bar for your meal. Lots of laughs, friendly debates over anything and everything. I will definitely be returning to Mack’s.

This is my favorite bar/restaurant to go to! It is a family atmosphere & the owner will remember you by name after one visit! Steve is the best! I’ve never had one piece of food on their menu & every time I go, I try something new! Best place around!
