LUHV VEGAN DELI

  4.6 – 265 reviews  $ • Vegan restaurant

We are proud to be the first fully vegan stand at Reading Terminal Market. We’re also the first vegan deli on the east coast, offering sliced vegan cheeses and cold cuts like you would at regular deli. LUHV is a family run business. On any given day you find at least three Lucci’s dish out vegan food across the region. From farmer’s markets to super markets there is a family member spreading the mission of LUHV. Which is that we can all change the world by the way we eat, it just takes one bite of LUHV.

Family-owned deli counter in a historic market for vegan & gluten-free sandwiches, soups & pastries.

Food was wicked good. I hate to give four stars for atmosphere, but it’s just a small shop in the market. There are no seats, just a counter to order. We didn’t care about that. We got large service sizes, of wicked food, done fast. This was on my short list to try while in town and I ended up coming back three times. Only disappointing thing is that they ran out of plant bacon, so I didn’t get to try that. I’m guessing it is good since they ran out. I only have a picture of the breakfast bagel, but the Italian Sub and Caprese were fantastic as well.

Great to take and eat elsewhere (the market is busy even on weekdays, and filled with many sights and smells of MEAT) . Nice staff, even gave my son a free sample as he requested 😉

Okay they weren’t kidding the lox sandwich was indeed the best vegan sandwich I’ve ever had. The lox is beets. Not lox texture or fish taste(obvs) but smoky and really delicious as itself.

Wow. Italian hoagie was unreal. Set in amongst so many good stalls. This place stands out. Could not tell it was even vegan. Amazing taste and choice!

THE FOOD WAS SO DELICIOUS HERE! AND THE DESSERTS? INCREDIBLE! I’m not crazy about eating vegan food that is adapted from regular food, but the CAPRESE WAS BETTER THAN WE’VE HAD IN ITALY? AND THE BROWNIE?? My husband was eating the crumbs which has fallen, and I’ve never seen him so that will ever! That Brownie was probably the best one I’ve ever had! Next time we’re in Philly, WE’RE GOING TO LUHV VEGAN BOOTH in Reading Market.

Got the Reuben to try it and was pretty impressed. The sandwich could’ve had more “meat” on it though.

The Reuben is “Philly’s best”! Not sure how steep the competition is but this was a really good sandwich. The prices are reasonable for vegan ingredients. I want to come back and try everything on the menu!

Amazing vegan food!!! This was one of the first fully vegan places I had tried when I went vegan. It did not disappoint! My personal favorite is the Italian hoagie. They are very consistent with quality and it’s always a pleasure stopping by for a breakfast sandwich or hoagie.
