The atmosphere is gorgeous here and the food is superb. I had the porterhouse veal cooked perfectly! The staff was so nice and accommodating. My mother and I were so comfortable and had such a good time. They give you u lots of food and all of it was exceptional. Definitely will be coming back soon. Our waiter’s name was Zach; he was so personable and attentive.

Great atmosphere, cute indoor decoration, and we were able to get a table without reservation when we walked in a little before 7pm on Sunday. When we ordered salad for the table, it came in a small plate for each person at the table, which was really cute. The Caesar salad was delicious, and the fries were great. However, all the taste of the linguine alle vongole was from the salt of the clams, and the pasta itself was quite bland. Also, the seat pad I sat on was sinking, making me 2 inches shorter. For the entire duration of our dining experience, I felt like I was gradually “engulfed” by the chair. When I pointed it out nicely to the waiter after check, I received a simple response “yeah some chairs had that problem.” I would wish they could switch out those chairs for their customers’ comfort.

We spent the day in the city just running around see the sights. We decided to stop for some Italian food, it was a little early for dinner but we were finished for the day and just wanted to eat and go rest. We stopped at Lucca and we first seated in the bar area at the tiniest table I’ve ever seen for eating. We asked to be move and the wonderful host that sat us was so accommodating. So off to a table in the back of the restaurant. Our waitress was super nice and sweet. She was the best thing about this restaurant. We ordered the arrancini for an appetizer and they were okay, the plus side of them was that they were cheesy. I ordered the risotto with Beef Short Rib Risotto. Now I have ordered this style of dish at many restaurants (I am a short rib lover). When I received my dish I was shocked. The risotto was the same rice mixture they used for the arancini and had zero beef flavor from the short ribs, not to mention they were extremely dry on the outside. I was terribly disappointed. While waiting for our dinner I spied sauce that had dried on the side of the table ( when cleaning, its important to clean the sides of the table along with the top) and there was dried sauce on the feet of the bread basket as well. It completely turned me off as anyone should expect a level of cleanliness in any restaurant. I would have given this place zero stars if not for our waitress, she was very nice to us.

We went to this restaurant with some friends. The ambiance was nice and service was excellent. The server had a great personality and was able to read the table well. Food was just okay. We got the meatballs as a starter and they were good but lukewarm. I got the seafood risotto which was supposed to have shrimp, scallops, and crab in it. The shrimp and scallops were delicious but the crab was undetectable. The risotto was also undercooked and the sauce was just blah. My fiancé got the mushroom ravioli. He described it as a very distinct flavor as it had banana peppers in it. “It just didn’t do it for me” he says. We got the blueberry brûlée cheesecake. It was delicious. Would recommend the dessert.

On a warm summer night nothing can beat the patio atmosphere. The pancetta and veal bolognese was fabulous and meaty. The eggplant Parmesan was also good. Portions are generous. Special call or to the arugula salad. The candied walnuts and fresh goat geese perfectly tossed with balsamic vinaigrette. Finally the wait staff were attentive but not overbearing. They regaled us with stories of the celebrities who have eaten here. The Groupon reeled is in, the experience will have us coming back. And a bonus— half off bottles of wine on tuesdays.

From apps to dessert, food was excellent! Unfortunately, service was very slow. It took nearly 40 mins just to get our appetizers. The entire experience took 2.5 hrs and we didn’t see a manager once.

Second time eating here and loved it just as much as the first time! We went for Valentines weekend and Jake was our server-he was great! Fun to talk to, had great tips on the menu and made our dinner so enjoyable. Food was so delicious, we love the large selection of food and the cannolis for dessert were amazing. Also, free bread appetizer is some of the best bread I’ve had at an Italian restaurant in Pittsburgh. Hope to be back a third time soon!
